      Food life

At the beginning of the movie, Meryl Streep didn't even show up and I laughed while reading French, it was funny. My first impression of the movie was that it was very relaxing and meaningful, so after watching the movie with excitement, I have to say that this movie is really good.

Meryl Streep's performance is very relaxed and generous, and she never expected that she would be nominated for an Oscar again with such a light comedy. It is indeed not easy. It can be seen in the...

      Hey julia

I’m learning English recently. Well, I started from the most basic English ordering. I was lucky enough to see the introduction of Julie and Julia’s film. After being dragged by Lazy Cancer for two days, I finally watched this film. In fact, I know that I will definitely Look, I'm just really lazy. I originally thought it was just a movie about food, but the food in it really made me drool after lunch. Although I'm really not interested in Western food, and I don't think butter is...

      Dream life with yourself.

After watching this film on and off, it actually sounds like a very bland story without any ups and downs. It may be possible to sum up the whole story in one sentence, but the light philosophy and wisdom of life in it make me want to record them in the middle of the night.

What moved me the most in the whole movie was Julia Child, the personality that should be learned the most, taking every decision to do seriously, but willfully only following her own voice, bravely facing...

The dream journey of two women

Just by looking at the title of the movie, I'm afraid you won't know what the movie is telling at all. Two very similar women's names are actually two unknown women who lived in different eras and different countries. Their stories intersect only because of the same hobby, or dream, cooking.

In France after World War II, Juliet tried various activities in order to end her daily life of doing nothing, and finally decided to work hard in the direction of her greatest hobby - eating....

      Insurmountable Meryl Streep

When Bo Zhao mentioned yesterday "Meryl Streep is so sharp, after watching "Julie and Julia" and "The Devil Wears Prada", I didn't even think that it was the same person", I Revisited her wonderful scenes in "The Devil Wears Prada", and then re-watched this "Julie and Julia".

Both films are propped up by a brilliant Meryl Streep, complemented by the same decent supporting actor Stanley Tucci, compared to Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams. Can be regarded as a decent foil, without Aunt May,...

The relaxed atmosphere and the theme of food make the movie really endearing. Aunt Mei's performance is still in place, even with her...

    Movie plot

The film tells that the ordinary lives of two women are completely different because of the attractive French cuisine. In Julia Childs ( Meryl Streep ornaments before) to change the world, she is just an ordinary American woman living in France, her biggest hobby is "eat." "Why can't I go to a professional gourmet school to learn how to cook?" So, in a kitchen dominated by a group of French men, Julia, a stranger, began to try to make...

    Behind the scenes gags

In order to play the old American lady studying and living in France in this film, Meryl Streep also studied American English with a French accent.
Since Meryl Streep is 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm) tall, and Julia Child’s height in real life is 6 feet 2 inches (187 cm), in order to be able to show Julia Child’s height in the movie Height, photography and clothing have adopted some special methods, such as letting Meryl Streep wear high...

    Movie quotes

    • Julie Powell: [about Julia] I have conversations with her while I'm cooking. And I feel like she is there with me in the kitchen.

Amanda Hesser: She's like your imaginary friend.

      Julie Powell: [grins] Yes.

    • Julie Powell: [listening to messages on her answering machine] Eric, I'm going to be a writer!

Eric Powell: [correcting her] You ARE a writer.

    • Eric Powell: [about Julia] Look, there's something wrong with her if she doesn't get what you're doing.

Julie Powell: There's nothing wrong with her. Nothing. I spent a year with her. She's perfect.

Eric Powell: The Julia Child in your head is perfect. The Julia Child that doesn't understand what you're doing is not perfect. The one in your head is the one that matters.
