Jiro Dreams of Sushi--Documentaries about Food

At the beginning of the film, the old man said, "I will never say it's okay. You can come back at any time even if you don't do well outside." (The second son opened a branch outside). This is the kind of stupid thing (my mother never said that to me) She always wanted me to work harder. At the time, I thought it was cruel. At the end of the documentary, he said, "When I'm too old, they...

Jiro Dreams Of Sushi--The God Of Sushi

My deepest memory of Obama's trip to Japan in the year of Obama has left me. Abe invited him to a sushi restaurant with only 12 seats and no menu. The daily dishes are determined by the chef’s mood. The film's first Baidu I'm definitely not a person who eats, even if I'm facing the familiar taste of "A Bite of China," but this film alone makes me unable to stop swallowing, and it also makes me...

"God of Sushi" is a Film that Embodies Minimalism

This is not a food movie, but a movie that concentrates on minimalism. It is only for sushi, a simple food. Why can there be so much to say? It was achieved through outrageous calculations and deliberation, and it was the ultimate perfection of the details of a single transaction. In addition to the Japanese, Steve Jobs was also an advocate of minimalism. Apple changed the world, but minimalism also made him exhausted.

To be perfect, minimalism needs to ignore the cost of time, and time...

The dawn of life, the future of art

——A great chef must have five characteristics: be serious about his work and maintain the highest level of performance; focus on improving his skills; love cleanliness, only a clean environment can create a good environment for customers to experience food; Stubborn, stick to your own way; must embrace enthusiasm. From the accumulation of bits and pieces, every ordinary to great is a long and lonely road.
To be honest, when I saw this film, my first reaction to the title was that...

Passing more than a respect for food

I heard this documentary a long time ago. But because of my studies, I didn't have time to watch it.

I just watched it with a love of food. But after watching it, I got a lot

of films. Overall, it reflects Erlang. Mr. respect for food. Respect for work. But watch it carefully. There are many things that we can learn from the whole documentary.

The strict selection of ingredients, the orderly and exquisite steps, and the excellence of the practice all reflect the...

Such a story can be filmed smoothly and edited smoothly. Except for the disgusting gourmand who pretends to be a god, the rest does not particularly deify the old master. In fact, the world is afraid of being...

Sushi is a very simple food. Whether it is delicious or not depends basically on the ingredients and whether the various raw fish purchased from the fish market are fresh that day. But the fact that the 86-year-old grandpa is still making sushi is admirable enough in itself, and the sushi he makes is beyond food and beyond...

    Movie quotes

    • Jiro Ono: When I was in school... I was a bad kid. Later, when I was invited to give a talk at the school, I wasn't sure if I should tell the kids that they should study hard... or that it is okay to be a rebel. I wasn't sure what advice to give the kids. Studying hard doesn't guarantee you will become a respectable person. Even if you're a bad kid... there are people like me who change. I thought that would be a good lesson to teach. But if I said that bad kids can succeed later on like I did... all the kids would start misbehaving which would be a problem. Always doing what you are told doesn't mean you'll succeed in life.

    • Yoshikazu Ono: [on one of his fish vendors] His grandfather was known as "the god of sea eel." He was a legend. I've never met him in person, but that's what I've heard.

    • Jiro Ono: When I was in first grade, I was told "You have no home to go back to. That's why you have to work hard." I knew that I was on my own. And I didn't want to have to sleep at the temple or under a bridge so I had to work just to survive. That has never left me. I worked even if the boss kicked or slapped me. Nowadays, parents tell their children, "You can return if it doesn't work out." When parents say stupid things like that, the kids turn out to be failures.
