The Charm of "Jane Eyre" Lies in having a Firm and Pure Heart

In the afternoon, I finished watching the BBC06 version of "Jane Eyre" in one go. I have never read the original or other versions, but this version left a deep impression on me, reminding me of how I felt when I watched "The True Story of Kirin" before. The foundation of love is our spiritual equality, and then we can give and support each other.

Many people don't like this version because the protagonist looks a little more euphemistic, but this is not an idol...

      why should i leave

I cried when we saw the ending, because that's what we wanted and it didn't come easily.
But I never figured out why Jane Eyre left. Does love have to be attached to marriage to be able to reflect its existence? She left because she couldn't face Edward's wife and couldn't marry her? Was it because they struggled only to continue their platonic love in the spiritual realm outside of marriage? I don't understand that two people who love each other like this have to be separated only because...

Not my cup of tea skepticism on the rise

“Do you think that i'm a machine that i can bear it.
Do you think that i'm poor, plain, obsecure and little that i have no that i'm without soul.
I have as much heart as you and as much soul.
And if God had given me some beauty and wealth, I would make it as hard for you to leave me as it is now for me to leave you."

"Jane Eyer will be not be over-whelmed."

      Doubt:
      1. John Eyer was clearly informed of Jane's death, why he insisted on leaving his...

      Heed your inner calling

Although Jane's "Declaration of Equality" and Edward's marriage proposal are both classics, the fourth episode that touched me the most was the call that Jane heard in the swamp before she went to the Cape of Good Hope. It was Edward's thoughts, waiting and prayers that were bound by time and space. When they came to Jane, they were twins who could listen to each other's hearts from thousands of miles away. It's enviable magic.
Sometimes, reason needs to rest, let us believe that such...

      will be happy

The 06 version of the BBC miniseries "Jane Eyre".

Haven't read the original, so I don't know what kind of story it was, but it's a good movie.

      Four hours, but never bored.

I have to consistently love the British countryside, so that I can persist in my dream of studying abroad.

Jean, she grew into such an elegant woman under such harsh conditions, she has a strong self-awareness since she was a child, and this kind of character has fulfilled her future...

Too passionate and straight-forward adaptation. Maggie Smith's son didn't expect to be so handsome, and it seems a little too suave to play Mr. Rochester. The heroine is actually not ugly, but when she speaks, she is ugly. The screenwriter added so many irrelevant characters that it was...

This version of the adaptation takes Jane Eyre and Rochester's views on love and equality far ahead of their time. But in any case, it is still very touching, each episode has small details that make people cry, and the key plots are also handled with a degree of relaxation. ps The actor who plays Rochester feels a lot like...

After watching this movie, I really realized how important the beauty of women is. In my impression, although Jane Eyre is not beautiful, she can't be so ugly. There are many plots because of his appearance that makes me not look very good. Comfortable, this heroine has the potential of a shrew. What kind of tenderness is she in total? Little birds can't be linked together. Originally a five-star movie can only be four stars. Jane Eyre can be more...

Jane's appearance is a bit rough, but Rochester is more in line with the original. The way of emotional processing has obviously joined the consciousness of modern people, and some are not used to...

    • Jane Eyre: [Gets out of the coach a couple miles from Thornfield] Take my trunk on up to Thornfield, would you?

Coach Driver: Won't you ride, Miss? You've had a very long journey.

Jane Eyre: No, I'm nearly home. It's my favorite walk.

    • Jane Eyre: Sir, I need to have a leave of absence for a week or two, to see a sick lady who's asked for me.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: What sick lady?

Jane Eyre: Her name is Reed. She's my uncle's wife.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Uncle? You told me you had no family.

Jane Eyre: My aunt cast me out when I went away to school.

      Edward Fairfax Rochester: Why?

Jane Eyre: Because I was poor. And she did not like me.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: And she sent you to Lowood without so much as a word or a visit in nearly ten years. So why does she suddenly want to see you now?

Jane Eyre: Her son John is dead. He ruined himself. She's now struck down with his misfortune. I'll only be gone two weeks, I hope.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Two weeks? That's not possible.

Jane Eyre: You have company, sir.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Very well. But promise me, you'll not stay with this undeserving aunt more than a week.

Jane Eyre: I cannot promise you. She is dying. I cannot set a time on that.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Of course, you'll go. I haven't got the power to stop you. You must have some money. Can't travel without money. I haven't given you any salary yet, remember? How much have you, Jane, in whole the world?

      Jane Eyre: Five shillings, sir.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Here, take fifty pounds.

Jane Eyre: No, Sir. You only owe me fifteen. I have no change.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: I don't want change, Jane. You know that. Take your wages.

      [Jane nods no]

Edward Fairfax Rochester: You're right. Better not give you all that. You might stay away for three months. Here. There's ten. Wasn't that enough?

Jane Eyre: Yes, sir. But you still owe me five.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Then, come back for it.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Sir, I have to ask you something else, a matter of business. You have as good as said you intend to be married.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Really? That has been settled then, has it? You've decided that Miss Ingram is to be my bride. Now I see it. You're going to prevail upon that miserable family to find you a new situation. Ungrateful girl, admit it!

Jane Eyre: No, sir. I've told you they do not like me, sir. To offer such a service... I shall advertise.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Devil, you will! Advertise! I wish I'd only offered you a sovereign, not ten whole pounds. Give me back nine.

[Jane puts her hands behind her]

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Jane, I have need of it.

Jane Eyre: [smiles, her hands still behind her back] No, sir. I do not trust you.

    • Edward Fairfax Rochester: Give me back nine. Jane, I have need of it!
