The least romantic New York Winter Love Song-"Jack Goes Rowing"

Philip Seymour Hoffman, with "Capote" won the 78th (2006) Academy Award for Best Actor, an authentic actor. But more often, he appeared in front of us with various supporting roles, and has dazzling performance in many classic films such as "Scent of a Woman", "Genius Pulit", and "Pirate Radio". Regrettably, Hoffman passed away in 2014, leaving behind the only director's work-"Jack Going Rowing".

The literal English translation of the film is "Jack Goes Boating" (Jack Goes...

Overcome me, but don't hurt me

      "Jack & Connie"

They are not handsome men or beauties, nor are they proud classmates and teenagers.
They belong to the lower class of New York. They are impoverished, their jobs are unstable, their houses are small and messy. They
are a lot of age, and the traces of the years have already been crawled. Their faces

are still so naive, fragile, ignorant, and have obvious interpersonal barriers.

Jack is a simple-minded and kind-hearted limousine taxi driver...

      "Jack Go Boating"

Sometimes it is better to let the drama stay in the theater. Characters, character relationships, and conflict climax are displayed along with the actors' coherent improvisational performances. This kind of a little weird mood is most suitable for theater.

The movie script does not provide more points of interest in audio and video. Although a lot of beautiful songs and excellent soundtracks are added, Philip Seymour Hoffman can only be ineffective in directing the tube, except for a...

I hope the winter will end soon

"Jack Goes Rowing." Watching a movie with heavy snow on a snowy day is like the movie has swallowed reality. There is heavy snow outside the window in the movie, and heavy snow outside the window in reality.

Jack met Connie for the first time and was introduced by a good friend. Two sad little people. Jack is lonely, fat, and easily sentimental, like a lonely big white bear in winter. Connie is always sexually harassed: male nurse, male passenger on the subway, her boss. She is...

      positive vibes

I made this film because of Philip Seymour Hoffman. When
he was popular, Capote should have received rave reviews,
but he didn’t have much interest in Capote or himself. When I
looked at the New York metaphor, I thought he was good and I
almost loved it when I watched pirate radio. I got on him, of
course, because the pirate radio was so good to watch.

This film is also directed by Hoffman. The
      little story.
Jack and Connie are very simple and work...

I'm not perfect, but I'm serious about doing everything, you want to row, I'm going to learn to swim, I'm going to learn to cook for a little party of you and me, and I know you're not perfect, but I'm Willing to do anything for you. Hoffman's directorial debut, a bland little character, a bland little romance, I'm For...

    Movie plot

Jack ( Philip Seymour Hoffman ) is a taxi company driver. He has some ambiguous dreams. He wants to work for the Greater New York Transportation Authority. Behind the scenes gags

The film was adapted from the play of the same name in 2007 and was screened in New York. It received positive reviews and the filmmakers decided to bring the play from the stage to the big screen. Therefore, Philip Seymour Hoffman will usher in a role change in his acting career in 2010, using "Jack Goes Boating" as his directorial debut.
Philip Seymour Hoffman, who successfully performed the role of Jack in the original play, seems...

    Evaluation action

The film does not have the elegance and romance in the usual love story, nor the intrigue of New York City in the Scorsese movie. The smooth shots show only the lives of ordinary people in modern metropolises. They ran for a living. They are anxious about emotions. These ordinary people with seven emotions and six desires lead the most ordinary lives. But they have dreams in their hearts, longing and longing for love. In this sense,...

    Movie quotes

    • Jack: Don't worry, I'm a good swimmer.

Connie: I knew you'd be good.

      Jack: I am for you.

    • Connie: I even imagined it with you.

      Jack: That's... yeah.

Connie: In a bathtub, I imagined I was with you.

      Jack: You took a bath?

Connie: No, I was in a bathtub imagining it was a pitch black night. We were in a bed in a spaceship flying through superspace.

Jack: That... that's a long way off... space travel for tourists.

    • Clyde: Let's smoke a toast.
