      wear

I just want to say that at the 11th minute and 33rd second of the film, Mr. Jenkins visited the factory.
When he saw a coin on the ground
, he bent down and picked it up with his
      left hand. ! !
Why did Nima's close-up change to his right hand! ! !
Griffith, you are nakedly despising the IQ of our P-people! ! !
      Also a big close-up of Nima! ! !
You can say that you are picking up the action, take it to the right hand, and change the left hand to the right hand,...

There are no comments, only the masterpiece of kneeling and licking

After reading "Party Dissent", I actually thought of the performance art of "Love and Peace" by John Lennon and Yoko Ono on the wedding bed. It can be said that "Party Dissent" is an epic movie that created the theme of "Love and Peace", or it can be said that Griffith used more than 2 million US dollars in 1916 and more than 200 minutes of the film to say something extravagantly—— "Only true love keeps peace forever". This phrase was later evolved by hippies into "make love, not war!"...

      partisanship

This is a classic movie, a classic among classics. I have watched every classic movie no less than three times, and every time I watch it, I have a new understanding.
I heard that this movie has a good reputation, so I went to the cinema to see it on the first weekend of its release. This movie is worthy of my movie ticket, it is more exciting.

The story is very touching and highly watchable. When I watched the movie, I completely threw myself into the storyline

      untitled

If a few people were drawn to make up a movie map, there would definitely be this person. Even Godard said so, the movie starts with Griffith. Griffith "invented" (he studied some European directors) - the language of cinema - the classic editing that is still used in Hollywood today.

It was "Birth of a Nation" that made Griffith famous, although it was also somewhat notorious for the KKK. It was this "Parties and Diversity" that destroyed Griffith's career.

      It was the first...

      Look at the fur first

My nerves were tense, I drank water several times in the
middle , and relieved my emotions several times. After
watching "Party Dissent" on and off
, I was amazed that in the early 20th century, in
the era of either fixed camera shooting or exaggerated magic movies,
Griffiths After telling a story, I’d better break down the four-part
story until the end, the four climaxes can still overlap.
Today’s audience may not be able to accept it quietly. After reading...

The Crucifixion of Jesus, the destruction of Neo-Babylon by Persia, the massacre of St. Bartholomew, and the feminist movement in the United States at the end of the 19th century, Griffith showed through these four major events that people have a tendency to destroy themselves, ranging from countries, religions, small From civilian life, all prosperity and all chaos arise from internal contradictions among people. This strength can be added to the selection of Maleficent. I am amazed at its...

#Note# The cost of 2 million, consisting of four parts, non-linear storytelling, large scene camera positions and actor scheduling, and the use of a large number of moving shots created the parallel narrative of feature films and laid the foundation for Griffith's art in American film history. 100 years later, this method of parallel editing of four stories is still shocking and advanced.

    • By Donato 2022-04-24 07:01:25

The theme is really grand, and the narrative structure is also very innovative, but I still feel sleepy. The ending scene is comparable to the illustrations of the Divine Comedy, and the elevation of love, peace, religion, etc. is a bit too...

    Background creation

DW Griffith invested his entire savings to shoot Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages, which took a year and a half to shoot   . He built the set near Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, where the four-story Babylonian city walls were just like the real thing, with two ancient chariots pulled by four horses galloping side by side. The palace inside the city wall is 1,600 meters deep, and the surrounding minarets are 70 meters...

    Evaluation action

"Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages" uses an unprecedented editing approach, using four distinct stories to express the theme of paranoia. And these four stories happened in different historical periods, and the time span even exceeds 2000 years. However, unlike people's impressions in the past, DW Griffith's four stories are not told one after another, but they are divided into several small fragments, which are...
