      Three and a half stars

Too many four stars, too few three stars, and not three and a half stars.

As a movie from the 1980s, it's plausible on the whole, but it's not a masterpiece. There is no place to be particularly tense or scary. The plot is relatively compact, although there are many loopholes. The heroine's acting skills are good, but the dressing in the play is too neutral to say that it is hated or loved; if you dress nicely, the darkening will be more evil in the back.

      The ending is the same...

      A film about liars

House of Games is an old film, filmed in the 1980s, and its classification is thriller. I can't talk about this plot because it won't be thrilling. All in all, this is a story of a beauty and a liar. The heroine is a female psychologist. Like Kelly Chen in Hong Kong's "Infernal Affairs", a psychologist will occasionally encounter some criminals in his work. Please bear this in mind for Canadian psychology researchers. More importantly, psychologists can deal with criminals, but don't be too...

Let's see how we got into the trap-a scam from the perspective of the victim

A psychologist, got a doctorate, also published a book, and became a bestseller.

The theme of the book is about: human behaviors of obsessiveness.

At the opening, she faced two patients, a woman and a man. While listening to the female patient's narrative, she asked questions and recorded the key parts she thought. From here and the opening signature section, we can see that Magret is very rational and indifferent. She seems to be able to control her emotions and thinking....

Since ancient times, the true feelings can’t be retained, only the routines are popular

I like the films in the 80s very much. They are in line with the aesthetics of people born in the 80s like me. I really like the retro images and soothing tunes of this film. This is a unique imprint of that era.

The amount of information conveyed by the story is still very large. One of the details is to perform the trick of guessing the finger on the street. In fact, it is the most brilliant part of the whole film. It is rich in psychology and philosophy of life. People who are...

      Can't flatter

My motivation for watching this movie is rather strange, because I heard that Kubrick mentioned this movie during the screenwriting stage of "Eye Opener" and expressed appreciation. Screenwriter Frederic Rapheal recalled:

Kubrick told me that he admired David Mamet's House of Games. Was he hinting that I should adopt Mamet's anorexic allsiveness? That Kind of mannered dialogue and elaborate plotting determine and limit perfomance.

Kubrick was happy to get him from it The...

8/10. David Mamet highly believes in Bresson-style restrained images. The slow rhythm and dramatic complexity are quite old-fashioned. He basically guessed that it was a bigger scam after the mistaken "police detective" mistakenly killed, but the psychological drama The tension is still suppressed and ended, and he is good at using repeated dialogues and small props (weak guns, taking away knives, repeatedly showing deceive trust and pointing out the heroine's emotional flaws) to promote the...
