It feels like a normal movie, not worth watching

The main conflicts are probably as follows: 1. The heroine is not liked by the people around her because of her obesity, and her love for music, singing and dancing from the inside out finally won her the heart of the male lead. 2. The heroine's mother was rejected because of her obesity and was timid and inferior. 3. The unbridgeable gulf between blacks and whites. 4. On the basis of 3, the story of the second female (white, the heroine's good friend) falling in love with the black.

It's not as good as expected. In contrast, the remake has indeed improved a lot, and it is also in line with the taste of the big screen, but the essence is still there. Waters shoots this kind of thing that can be recognized by the public is a little less...

Although the film is positioned as a musical, the song and dance scenes in the film are still relatively limited. It gives the audience the impression that the director put the main plot conflict on the fusion of black and white races. After all, the scene of this film is on the Baltimore, which has a strong history in the history of apartheid, the characters in the film must have looked quite foreign in that era, and the fluffy hairstyle seems to be a symbolic pursuit of beauty-loving women in...

A musical comedy starring Sonny Bueno, set in Baltimore in the early 1960s. It was the last moment of American innocence, and the whole society was about to face the upheaval of the times. The film reflects his political observations and deep sympathy for the civil rights of the marginalized through a TV song and dance show popular with teenagers. The plot revolves around two families, one black and one white. Sonny's daughter, raised...
