      Goya's Ghosts--Tragedy Without Emotion

I thought it was a very artistic tragedy. It is indeed a tragedy, but it is not as I imagined. Art always has a kind of heart for the artist. It is difficult to describe feelings. There is a kind of wanting to add wings to yourself. The urge towards that feeling is a deep excitement. So I'm disappointed about what I didn't see in this movie. I didn't see much about Goya's passion, his artistic temperament, his special Something made me see a person with no personality and no anger. It's just an...

Why do you feel so happy?

I thought it was a thriller~~ but I couldn't help laughing in many places, such as the sound of bagpipes when the British army entered Spain~~ and the queen of Spain, haha, it was played by a man at all~haha~~

see the end Very confused, who is it? 3 people, 3 key points, the ending seems to be good, and they are all connected again.

Since the main character is so heavy, I will give 3 stars~~ The person who classifies this film as a thriller is really a Russian...

      Goya's Ghosts

Absurd people are born into a more absurd world. You say that you have a firm belief in this world, so good, God will test you, and it will force you to admit that you are a baboon. Even if you are proud for a while, you will always fall to the bottom. Don't be naive, God is not necessarily God Himself. When the power of a certain authority is above everything else, then he is also God. The truth no longer exists, the world is set by them, you are a good citizen, abide by the law, and you will...

      Director, what are you doing?

The narrative of this film is unclear~~~
the psychological changes of the painter ~ the tragic fate of the heroine ~ the turmoil of Spanish politics ~ the hypocrisy of priests and religion ~ the contradiction between the ideas of the French Revolution and aggression ~ there is no line that speaks clearly to the point .
Director, since you put Goya's sketches before and after the film, I guess you want to talk about the ugliness of human nature, but what level of organization are you?...

Fate must be laughing at us

When we are attached to wealth, love, desires, fate must be at it lol. The last second was still a prisoner, this second is the survivor. Yesterday was the rich man in the city, today there are only empty mansions. Today, I am the master of this city, and tomorrow, I will die like a dog. Where can there be so much karma in this world, they are just victims of the turbulent times.
The so-called artist is just groping for a little bit of historical truth in the dark, so that we can remember...

In fact, the overall level is not even three stars. After you sang and I came on stage, it was the ignorant masses who suffered. It was an old topic, and I didn’t say anything new. If you are entangled in a single role, you may not know it. It seems to be fairly smooth, and Baden's performance is also passable, barely 3...

The second half was slightly better, overall slow and boring. Uncle Baden still performed well, but in this Goya-themed story, Goya is a soy sauce, which is too far-fetched. ....

After being reminded, I noticed that Ghosts is plural, and the spirits of Goya are actually the souls written by Goya. At the end of the film, I realize that this is not a biographical film of Goya. Criticizing the hypocrisy of the church is the main theme, but the whole is still too...

    Movie plot

In 1792, The Kingdom of Spain, the Catholic Church held the highest power, the revolutionary cause of neighboring France also caused domestic riots in The Kingdom of Spain. The Kingdom of Spain Catholics decide to bring back the dreaded Inquisition. The movement's leader is Lorenzo ( Javier Bardem ) , an inscrutable and brilliant monk , who finds his way to power.
Lorenzo's friend is Francisco Goya ( John Stellan Skarsgård ) , the most...

    Behind the scenes gags

Director Miloš Forman, whose parents died in Auschwitz, read a book about the Inquisition in The Kingdom of Spain many years ago and realized how mercilessly history repeats itself, so he made this film. Story ideas.
Director Miloš Forman set Natalie Hershlag to play the heroine Ines at the beginning, because he thought Portman looked very much like the protagonist in Goya's "The Milkmaid of Bordeaux" and watched the movie "Stealing"....

    Evaluation action

"Goya's Ghosts" depicts Goya with very little brush and ink. In fact, it is these stories about events other than Goya that really make the audience get close to Goya's heart and feel how intimate and meaningful those "black paintings" are. At the end of the film, director Miloš Forman expresses Goya's irrational thinking about human beings well. Three moving music and Goya's three styles of works make the film an excellent work that...

    Movie quotes

    • Inés: [model pointing at defaced portrait] Why doesn't that painting have a face?

Goya: Because he is a ghost.

      Inés: No, he is not.

Goya: Have you ever seen a ghost?

Inés: No. But I have seen a witch.

      Goya: Oh, did you?

Inés: Yes, but she had a face.

Goya: So what did she look like?

Inés: She was... all bent and creepy, and she...

      [whispers:]

      Inés: stank.

      [makes disparaging sound]

Goya: That's interesting, because the witch that I know, she's... she's young, very lovely, and she smells of jasmine.

      Inés: [smiles] She does?

Goya: She does. And I'm working on her portrait... right now.

Inés: [smiles as it dawns on her what he means] I'm no witch!

Goya: [chuckles] How do you know?

    • Tomás Bilbatúa: [worried father, to his young daughter] You have received a summons from the Holy Office.

      [she sits down]

Tomás Bilbatúa: Do you have any idea what it might be about?

      Inés: No...

Tomás Bilbatúa: Where did you go with your brothers last night?

      Inés: The tavern.

      [shakes her head]

Tomás Bilbatúa: Think. Did you say something sacrilegious?

      Inés: [shakes her head] No.

Tomás Bilbatúa: [to his two sons] Was there an incident or something they could hold against her?

Álvaro Bilbatúa: She kissed the feet of a dwarf.

[Inés sticks her tongue out at him]

Tomás Bilbatúa: [to his daughter] You did?

      Álvaro Bilbatúa: She did.

      [his mother scoffs]

      Inés: Everyone did.

Ángel Bilbatúa: You know... they can summon her just to... testify against someone else.

María Isabel Bilbatúa: [hoarsely] Someone else?

Inés: Is there someone you know they might be interested in?

      Inés: I don't know.

      [shakes her head]

      Inés: No.

    • Goya: You're crazy.

Tomás Bilbatúa: Francisco, please, stay out of this.

      Goya: Let us go.

      Tomás Bilbatúa: You can go.

Goya: What do you mean I can go? And Father Lorenzo?

Tomás Bilbatúa: Did he let my daughter go?

      [to Lorenzo:]

Tomás Bilbatúa: Did you let my innocent daughter go?

      [to Francisco:]

      Tomás Bilbatúa: Did he?
