Ghost in the Shell--This is a Cyberpunk Movie

"Whether it is a country or a collective, too much singleness will only lead to destruction." When we mention the "cyberpunk" style sci-fi films, the famous "Blade Runner" and the "Matrix" series of the era pioneered by the Wachowski sisters are often "head-to-head", but when we carefully review the "game" At the time of the development of...

      genetics of memory

Human physical characteristics can be inherited and evolved from generation to generation through DNA, so can thoughts and memories be genetically evolved?

Before the Internet age, it seemed that memory could only be confirmed and perpetuated through external books and education. Then in the era of the Internet and AI, when the electronic brain can connect to the Internet and obtain information at will, how can human beings realize the distinction between evolution and...

An animation masterpiece that will not be copied a second time

As an old driver who has read countless movies, if you ask me which movie is my favorite, I may not be able to answer it for a while; but if you ask about cartoons, then on my favorite list, it will definitely be have it-
      [Ghost in the Shell]

When it comes to the movie version produced in 1995, we have to say the original book first - "Ghost in the Shell" by the cartoonist Shirou Masamune in the Kodansha youth cartoon publication "...

      Ghost in the Shell

It has been more than 20 years since the film was released. Many concepts and ideas may not be amazing today, but they were undoubtedly advanced 20 years ago. The visual effects are gorgeous, the soundtrack and interlude are shocking, and the lines and dialogues are very philosophical, full of the director's thinking on the relationship between human and machine. However, many image styles can still cause discomfort. For animated films, I still like the expression of soothing warmth.

Not the original IP fans, watching for Scarlett, this movie is enough to satisfy curiosity and is worth spending time.

Watching a movie adapted from a big IP is undoubtedly opening a door for myself that was once unnoticed, and when I walked into this door, I was deeply interested in the background of this comic-modified movie, but after all, I just entered the door, so don't be there. This is based on some immature understanding. From the perspective of fresh movies, the protagonist Scarlett can get a pass, and every highlight after that is added.
There are no disgusting pictures, no vulgar nudity...

I've already watched this film seven or eight years ago, and I still admire it today. Every time I watch Attack on the Shell, I think of the college entrance examination composition of a certain year: "If Memories Can Be Transplanted", I feel that the more I watch Attack on the Shell, the less I can write this...

The tone is very Blade Runner Hong Kong-style neighborhood as the imaginary foundation of the future civilian community space is the beginning of Blade Runner? And that's where the Matrix comes from? The theme song is very good. The discussion level of consciousness issues is very high, especially the self and emergence issues. On the one hand, many philosophical traditions are introduced. Will Caster is the OZ...

I like cyberpunk, and I also admit that the idea of this script is very open and deep, but what I hate is Japanese anime mixed with Western elements. The characteristic of this kind of Japanese anime is that each character has his own The inexplicable sense of superiority, the tone of speech, the body movements, etc., in my opinion, are particularly pretentious, the kind of posturing that is unique to Japanese characters. I'm also afraid that you don't understand the appearance of chattering...

God made. The mirroring class just pulled the film frame by frame, and the design is too rigorous from a close-up perspective. The 3D technology in 1995 was not mature enough to draw frame by frame all kinds of pictures that can only be achieved by the 3D technology...

What is the basis of what a person is, memory is just an illusion, life is a node in the torrent of time, consciousness determines matter, and the eternity of matter only exists in consciousness, I think, therefore I am, and the metaphysical charm lies in...

Major Motoko KusanagiPuppet Master: And where does the newborn go from here? The net is vast and infinite.

    • Puppet Master: I refer to myself as an intelligent life form because I am sentient and I am able to recognize my own existence, but in my present state I am still incomplete. I lack the most basic processes inherent in all living organisms: reproducing and dying.

Major Motoko Kusanagi: But you can copy yourself.

Puppet Master: A copy is just an identical image. There is the possibility that a single virus could destroy an entire set of systems and copies do not give rise to variety and originality. Life perpetuates itself through diversity and this includes the ability to sacrifice itself when necessary. Cells repeat the process of degeneration and regeneration until one day they die, obliterating an entire set of memory and information. Only genes remain. Why continually repeat this cycle? Simply to survive by avoiding the weaknesses of an unchanging system.

    • Major Motoko Kusanagi: You talk about redefining my identity. I want a guarantee that I can still be myself.

Puppet Master: There isn't one. Why would you wish to? All things change in a dynamic environment. Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you.
