      Kudos to Hepburn!

Musical and dance drama, the style is very elegant, the 1957 film can achieve such accomplishments, it is amazing. The colors are very colorful and beautiful. Still feel fashionable after half a century. This show is like a Givenchy fashion show, stunning and shocking.

But the dance part is very embarrassing to look at with the eyes of modern people. It's not that the diss male and female protagonists have poor dance skills. Hepburn was a ballet dancer, and her dancing skills are...

Girls, ballet has never been learned for nothing.

Written on June 20, 2009 (the aftermath of those years)

It is a pity that such a masterpiece of the century has only been known by its name for more than ten years and has not been seen. Speaking of which, after I was born, I was fortunate to have breathed together with Hepburn in my later years for three years. She died at 7:00 in the morning on January 20, 1993 at the "Peace Mansion" in Switzerland, and an Angel returned to heaven.

      The movie was shot...

      fashion in movies

New York and Paris in the 1950s. The style is simple, elegant, and casual, and the second half of the film is extravagant and complicated. Mainly see Hepburn wearing black capri pants, black turtleneck sweater, black low-heeled women's shoes. [The look was referenced by GAP Fashion in 2006-2007, and Hepburn was seen dancing to the tune of AC/DC's "Back in Black." This is a classic example of the style continuing after 50 years, only with a different tune in the background. ] And a couple of...

Imperfect world has had a nearly perfect her

My only complaint about this movie is that the male pig's feet are really too old and too skinny to be worthy of our goddess.

When Audrey Hepburn was shooting this work, she was at the peak of her appearance. Whether she deliberately shot a magazine cover in a concave shape, or danced with a madman like a neurotic, she was flawlessly beautiful, innocent, cute, naughty, humorous, She gave this character the most vivid soul, a thoughtful and emotional little nerd, who also has classic...

      Can people be perfect?

I heard she was going to dance, but I never dared to watch it! She has always been one of the most beautiful female images in my heart. It is best to always be in the cloud, in your heart, and not see the real and comprehensive her. I believe that if we get along day and night, there is no real idol! It's better to keep a little blank, leave yourself some room for imagination, and give her some reasons to continue to be ethereal.

I always thought that there would be no idols. However,...

It can only be said that it is average, and Hepburn is the most dedicated. Fred Astaire is so old that she can still play against him. This girl is too...

Givenchy. The opening of ballerina Beatnik style, think pink, makes people elated. It's just her fashion show, how free the dance is and how beautiful the colors are. Each of her films is a fashion collection. Never tire of watching. About her height of 170cm and weight, but never more than 50kg, and the measurements of 80-56-80cm have accompanied her throughout her life, style and elegance are all the firm beliefs of the world. QueenB in GG is also a Hepburn...

It's a little surprising to see HEPBURN singing and dancing. . . But the story is really intriguing. ....

[Beijing Film Festival Screening] I didn't expect it to be a musical, and I didn't expect it to be so exaggerated. I've been thinking: Why didn't the police call the police for trespassing in the library? Arresting people at fashion magazine headquarters in broad daylight? What's the point of gaudy dances like weird-style dances in cafes and umbrella bullfights outside hotel buildings? While watching the film, I kept saying: What the hell? Cinematography, choreography, and storytelling are...

    Behind the scenes gags

The film is one of the few movies starring Audrey Hepburn in which her singing voice has not been dubbed.
"Funny Face" was originally a musical stage play performed by dancer and actor Fred Astaire on Broadway in 1927. He usually has almost harsh requirements for the dance skills of the actors he collaborates with, but he admires Hepburn very much. Because Hepburn studied dance since she was a child, and even determined to devote...

    Evaluation action

The clothing style in "Funny Face" is also very simple and elegant. Audrey Hepburn is wearing black tights, black turtleneck sweater, white socks and black shoes. This dress is impressive. Many of her classic images are wearing black dresses. ("Yangcheng Evening News" review)
The most exciting part of the film is not the love song developed by Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn, but the famous dance and music of the film. Because of...

    • Maggie Prescott: Let's give 'em the old pizazz!

    • Jo Stockton: Take the picture, take the picture!

    • Maggie Prescott: The Quality Woman must have grace, elegance and pizazz.

Dick Avery: Every girl on every page of Quality has grace, elegance, and pizazz. Now, what's wrong with bringing out a girl who has character, spirit, and intelligence?

Dovitch: That certainly would be novel in a fashion magazine.
