      unexpected disappointment

I thought that the part about fighting for rights detailed the emotional changes of the two lovers. Unexpectedly, more space was devoted to the process of freehelders being forced to agree, journalists' public opinion incitement and protest groups.
On the whole, the pseudo-documentary quality of the film is higher than, or even partially overshadowed by the cinematic feel.
In the positive part, apart from the natural empathy caused when the doctor told Stacie that Laurel had advanced...

      Just for equality

In terms of the film itself, I don't think it's particularly good. The description of the narration is from the beginning to the end. Maybe it is because of the time limit of the film. Sometimes the story progresses too fast and it lacks a lot of feeling. But a small detail that moved me is that Laurel's goals are very clear from beginning to end. For equality, at the end of the video, he did not say that he supports gay marriage to attract attention.

      True equality and lack of...

Fighting for fairness is the purpose of this film

In addition to showing the film technology, the function of the film is more important to express the attitude towards life and the world view it expresses. Whether it's pessimistic or positive, it's amazing that it can make people find a little resonance and touch in this real life. Many bad films are not only bad in terms of technical processing, but even emotionally unable to convince the viewers! From this point of view, the film is a good one.

      I just want equality

"I need to fight hard for the rights you have at your fingertips." I burst into tears. It's all love, why should you be discriminated against?

After reading "Lettering the Word" and "False and True", I thought that the living environment of LGBT is very tolerant, so many countries and regions have recognized same-sex marriage, how can there be such a tragic story. Suddenly understand the sadness of the Pride Day parade, not deliberately high-profile, we just want...

Ellen Page is a real genius

Ellen Page is a real genius. He speaks quickly, has a cool, smart personality, and has a great personality. His interviews and public speeches are very contagious, but in "Rejected Life" he played a man who hated speaking in public and was not used to being paid attention to. The head can make people think she is really like that. As long as there is a Julianne Moore movie, I will always tsk tsk tsk tsk Aunt Moore's acting, but Ellen Page's acting actually makes Moore dark (in my eyes) ....

The rhythm is not good, it is not exciting enough, and I don't feel particularly excited when the rights protection is successful. The combination of Moore XPage is not very comfortable to watch, but it is because the real events that it relies on are also year-end love. It was a pleasure to see Steve Carell again after watching The Office. I still didn't hold back when Ellen Page spoke, and finally she was sitting alone by the sea with the small box, really wanting to hug...

In 2002, Laurel ( Julianne Moore ) , a police detective with 23 years of experience in handling cases, a homosexual who used to wear an exaggerated blonde wig, was as tough as any male colleague, including hers. Friend and partner Dane - Wells (Michael Shannon) . Laurel was reluctant to expose his homosexuality and tried to hide it in his life. During a volleyball team event, I met Stacey (Ellen Page) , an auto mechanic.

    Evaluation action

As a whole, the film is smooth and textured. Especially in the love part, the director naturally brought out the process of the two heroines from encountering to falling in love (Headline Daily Review )   .
The film is a film with gay rights as its core, but it is not hearty enough, and there is no convincing plot. Peter Soulett as the director of this film, the biggest problem is to make all the elements in the film become ordinary and...

    • [From Trailer]

[about Laurel's appeal being turned down]

Steven Goldstein: This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice. Their next meeting we show up with 100 protesters.

Dane Wells: Radicals and strangers from New York aren't going to convince these guys.

Steven Goldstein: I am not a radical. I am a middle-class, Jewish homosexual from New Jersey. How about you, sweetheart?

Dane Wells: I'm a straight, white, ex-Protestant, atheist cop. You okay with that, *sweetheart*?

Steven Goldstein: I am. That is very hot.

    • [From Trailer]

Steven Goldstein: Hell! If you and I got married tomorrow, *I'd* be entitled to your benefits.

Laurel Hester: Wait, is that a proposal?

      Dane Wells: Oh my god!

      [about Laurel's upcoming appeal]

Toohey: If they say yes my tax dollars go to her girlfriend.

Dane Wells: Yeah. The same way your wife gets your pension if *you* die!

Toohey: Yeah, but she's my *wife*.
