Far from the Madding Crowd--Woman Overwhelmed by Love

I thought the heroine was a wise and independent woman, and the officer was a scumbag. Why is she still hesitating and crying? If it wasn't for the neighbor's uncle, the uncle, the landlord, to help her solve it, I still don't know that she would be killed by this scumbag. Dragging to the point where it sinks? In the final analysis, the heroine only ushered in the harvest season and the prosperity of the countryside under the silent guard and protection of the uncle of the...

      Man's style is not satisfactory

This is another growth education of Mulligan, a new 19th-century woman's growth experience in the life of a love partner. Hardy's novel written in the 19th century is considered a masterpiece, I have never read it (the famous novel is the most frightening), judging from the movie, the novel is estimated to be a romance novel, a rural farm far away from the city, a girl It’s completely different from the three styles of painting. Men’s Love, Hate, Love and Enmity. Since it’s a famous novel, I...

The farthest detour is the nearest way back

Despite seeing countless contradictions in Bath Sheba, I still love the way she confronts Gabriel with her proposal, arrogantly and witty that she doesn't need marriage. Compared with other female protagonists in the Victorian period, the rebellious destination is still marriage. She appears to be more independent and free, and she can also run a farm, which can be regarded as financially independent and business-minded.
When I first watched it, I always felt that Bathsheba was too...

From abandoning dramas to analysis...period dramas have epochal significance

This is a movie that I have to give up the show in the middle of seeing it, because I can't stand the female protagonist's various green tea bitch behaviors, but I still finished watching it, why, because the male protagonists are good-looking.

To put it simply, the story takes place in the Victorian era. Bai Fumei, who grew up in the beautiful countryside of England, had three suitors. The first one proposed to him directly. Tit, the second one was originally indifferent to her, but...

      Mary Sue

The heroine easily made three men fall in love with her, almost every one of them was affectionate at the first meeting and asked for marriage at the second meeting, and then the heroine said that I am a man. I like you very much but I want Independence, I want to be independent, just not be with you, but we can still be ambiguous, what a green tea bitch. Then, the poor stayed by her side to protect her, the rich helped her, the officer conquered her with heroism, got married, but met an old...

Even if Winterberg is involved in this text, it is not a bit of a chore. You can only watch things outside the plot. It is no wonder that everything is so beautifully...

Carey Mulligan, Thomas Winterberg's love book adaptation is not compact enough, but it is very strange for me to be compact in love. There are three men at the same time, I feel it should be more intense, just look at the heroine and receive the goods first , Comes with British Countryside Vegetables is the real...

Original classics often have the most beautiful flavors, and Winterberg's casting and characterization are equally precise and elegant. Story is exactly what Armstrong is good at, and the violin melody is also full of warm English country...

The people are beautiful and the scenery is beautiful, but the filming was too rushed. Although the courtship process of the three male protagonists does not all require "starting and turning", the direct "starting and starting" is too shocking. The original work is so ups and downs The story of the "turn around" is just finished, and the screenwriter must...

Gabriel, why have you been dawdling for years on a problem that can be solved with a kiss? From the beginning, the heroine liked you, and you gave her a little lamb; later, the heroine "bereaved her husband" and tried you many times, both openly and secretly, full of lust, hoping that you would hug her and comfort her, but you pretended to be cold. In the end, you have to chase after the heroine and even make it clear that you kissed the beautiful woman you hugged under the double impact of...

    Behind the scenes gags

After being moved by the performance in " Rust and Bone ", Carey Mulligan strongly recommended Matthias Schoenaerts to play the leading role in the film.
There is a song sung by Carey Mulligan himself in the film trailer. It covers Pentangle's 1968 song "Don't let anyone steal your thyme". Mike Sheen also participated in the cover as a chorus.
The crew planned to invite Matthew Goode to play the role of Sergeant Troy but it was...

    Evaluation action

The film basically restored the British countryside at that time, showing the picturesque and simple folk customs of the British countryside   . (Timeline Review)
Director Thomas Winterberg uses a kind of ups and downs in the form of a roller coaster to set off the romantic and rustic atmosphere in the film. It is worth noting that the director made a thoroughly modern film, but tells a love story of "what women want to love" set in...

    Movie quotes

    • Sergeant Troy: [after announcing their engagement] It will not rain tonight. My wife forbids it.

    • William Boldwood: You must at least admire my persistence.

      Bathsheba Everdene: I do.

      William Boldwood: And like me?

      Bathsheba Everdene: Yes.

      William Boldwood: And respect me?

      Bathsheba Everdene: Yes. Very much.

William Boldwood: Which is it? Like or respect?

    • [last lines]

Bathsheba Everdene: Wasn't I your first sweetheart? Weren't you mine? And now I'd have to go on without you.

Gabriel Oak: If I knew... If I knew that you would let me love you and marry you...

Bathsheba Everdene: But you will never know.

      Gabriel Oak: Why not?

Bathsheba Everdene: Because you never ask!

Gabriel Oak: Would you say no again?

Bathsheba Everdene: I don't know. Probably. So why don't you? Ask me. Ask me. Ask me, Gabriel.

Gabriel Oak: [lunges and kisses her]
