Politics is not far from our lives
It is undeniable that the film has a loose structure, rough production, lacks the appearance of a professional documentary, and many of the populist sentiments it promotes are also debatable, but on the contrary, it is such a documentary full of primitive and wild power that sounded the most shocking alarm bell. I couldn't think of why someone would cry when I saw it, until I sat in the movie theater, and the tears finally flowed down with despair and powerlessness.
Usually,...

Trump is the product of the problem, not the representative of the problem
I haven't written such a long movie review in a long time. To be honest, I just started to look at the flint water crisis. After all, my major has been discussing this issue for almost a whole semester. I just knew there was a political conspiracy, but I didn't expect so many real hammers to be revealed in the documentary. And it also indirectly led to Trump's direct election to the presidency. The film is very good. It should be said that it should be very powerful that it can be released...

In the series of videos of Guoren Global University, Mr. Lu Qiyuan provided a lot of views on the development problems faced by the East, the West, China and the United States, and how to solve them. I don't have enough knowledge, so I couldn't understand it vividly when I read it and listened to it. Unexpectedly, many of Mr. Lu's arguments and opinions have been confirmed one by one in McMoore's documentary.
First of all, the most obvious one is that after Trump came to power, he used...

I don't like the emotional soundtrack at the beginning and the end. Maybe it's a matter of personal taste. I feel that the documentary has been made into a very guiding drama, especially the trump part is nothing new. There are more opinions than facts. I kept thinking for the first half, I don't need you to tell me how bad he is, isn't this just a self-repeating circle, like a lot of liberals refuse to discuss Trump when they hear it. But he is really a good storyteller, and he was...

Michael Moore's political documentaries are full of personal characteristics. He is always from his own point of view, directly criticizing people and events, and many of them are also related to his birthplace - the small town of Michigan (Flint). He claims to be non-partisan and has attended rallies of the two major parties, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, in a high-profile manner, but in terms of political views, he seems to be closer to the Democratic Party, so some people...

The incident involves a lot, so from this point of view, it is a little messy. Flint, water pollution, gun issue and students' anti-gun movement, both parties are also black materials. Of course, the point is to spend five minutes implying that Trump is perverted and wants to have a daughter. It is very rational to spend fifteen minutes. Doing groundwork with Hitler is more like a revolutionary manifesto than doing it emotionally well. Fight corruption from...

Three years on, the Democrats have not introspected and reformed, apart from mocking the Trump regime. America's problems right now and far left or far right, and half chose to abstain. Competent people selected at various levels will ultimately not be able to withstand the forces of capital and family power. The part where Obama drinks water as a show is really...

The subject is confusing, the production is rough, and the attempt to induce and brainwash is too...
Michael Moore: At 2:29 a.m. on 11/9/16, our new leader's image was projected onto the Empire State Building.
[an image of Trump is shown]
Michael Moore: How the fuck did this happen?
Himself - Nuremberg Prosecutor: Taking babies away from their mother, and-and locking up one or the other and separating them because they did no harm to anybody. They just didn't comply with the stupid regulations. Well, that's a crime against humanity, in my judgment. The Statue of Liberty stands there. You know, "Send me your tired, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. I lift my... my lamp beside the golden door!" Where? Where? Uh, we don't see that in this country, and it pains me. And, uh... that's the world in which we live. And, uh... we've gotta change it or perish.
Herself - Professor of History, NYU: He knows what he's doing. It's the same thing that authoritarians and fascists have done in the past. You need to make sure that when charges of corruption or other wrongdoing come forth, nobody believes the judiciary.
Donald Trump: [archive footage] We're the only country, essentially, that has judges.
Herself - Professor of History, NYU: The intelligence services.
Donald Trump: [archive footage] The corruption at the top of the FBI.
Herself - Professor of History, NYU: The press.
Donald Trump: [archive footage] Fake news.
Herself - Professor of History, NYU: You need to make sure that they are discredited.
Donald Trump: [archive footage] What you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening.
Herself - Professor of History, NYU: People believe him, and this is, of course, puzzling to many of his critics, but if the strongman, the authoritarian, has done his job, he has bonded people to him a long time ago. Trump was doing that with his rallies and his loyalty oaths.
Donald Trump: [archive footage] Should we do the pledge? Raise your right hand. Do you pledge that on Tuesday, you will go...
[footage of another rally]
Donald Trump: ...to vote for Donald Trump tomorrow? Raise that hand.
[his supporters cheer]
Donald Trump: I love you! I love you!
Herself - Professor of History, NYU: People don't care if he's lying. They believe in him, and that's more important than believing the truth.
