      Tribute to opponent

The story of two god snipers, the Soviet soldier Vasily and the German major in the Battle of Stalingrad, who were on different fronts, but were respectable opponents. The duel between them may represent the country or the individual. There is no absolute The winning or losing may lie in strength or destiny. Wars have created heroes, and times have given birth to the sincere friendship and love of the revolutionary years, which may include trust and betrayal. After all, war is cruel, and how...

Douban 8.4 The United States made a Soviet war movie with a good score.

I have seen the Korean war movies, and I am deeply impressed by their reflections on the war. I have to say that the filming is wonderful. We may not feel anything when we were born in a peaceful age. Eastern films and Western films are always the same. It is different. The wars of Westerners always have a color of personal heroism. The United States made such a film "Soldiers in the City".

In the former Soviet Union, Vasily was recruited into the army. At that time, the Nazis...

      Lyudmila's death

Under the recommendation of the political commissar, after Vasily officially joined the Soviet sniper team, there were two deputies (a man and a woman) to cooperate with him. During the first encounter with the German major, both deputies were shot dead by the enemy, and only Vasily survived.

I forgot how the male deputy died. Anyway, he was beaten to death because of his own negligence before entering the abandoned building where the German major was...

      Commissar Daninov

The first few times I watched it, my attention was drawn entirely to Vasily, holding my breath on his sniper battle with German Major Konin. Watching it again, the political commissar Danilov left a deeper impression on me, and from time to time I recalled his role in promoting the whole plot. To project him into the real war, I have to admit that people like him have made a huge contribution to the whole war. When his car was blown up and he escaped and found a bunker, he immediately picked...

It's just people trapped in uniforms

To be honest, Jude Law is really beautiful, right?

This movie was mind blowing for me, it was so exciting.

The director who crazily smeared the Soviet Union is no longer there. But I don't like it, so I don't talk about history and politics. But judging from the plot of this film, the sniper duel is really thrilling.

Actually, I don't hate the German major, I really don't hate him, on the contrary I...

The fighter in the sniper is almost a classic, and it is an adaptation of a real story. Even if they speak English, so what? ... 20 years have passed since this good work, what are these actors doing? Male No. 1 Jude Law has long since withdrawn from the first-line star. Rachel Weisz, the heroine, appeared briefly in "Black Widow". The second male Joseph Fiennes continued his high standard in "The Handmaid's Tale". The villain, Ed Harris, is very old and appears in "Daughter in the...

The part where the two snipers confront each other is the most attractive part of the film, but the director goes too far to "prove" that the discord within the Soviet army is a drag on what should have been an excellent film. Three and a...

This is actually the first time I've seen a Jude Law movie and I choked on the first English accent, but it's really British! What do you think? How do you feel that the world of snipers is forced to be a dark one. Sacha's eyelids are too double. The dialogue between the two male pig feet is sometimes quite...

    Movie plot

In the Battle of Stalingrad, Vasily ( Jude Law ) was a sharpshooter of the Megatron force. His good marksmanship is full of shots, making the enemy frightened. In order to inspire morale and set an example, Vasily’s comrade-in-arms, Danilov ( Joseph Fiennes ), an officer of the Soviet Cultural and Propaganda Department , published a large number of Vasily’s heroic deeds in newspapers, making Vasily’s image even taller. However, the...e

    Behind the scenes gags

The national anthem played by the Soviet Army at the commendation meeting was "Unbreakable Alliance", which had not yet been born at the time of the Battle of Stalingrad. It was first adopted in 1944, a year after the battle.

Vasily Gregoyevich Zaitsev (Васи́лий Григо́рьевич За́йцев, March 23, 1915-December 15, 1991), was born in the Ural Mountains of Priulaliye, often with his father and brother. Hunting, he practiced good marksmanship when he was 12 years old.
In the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942, Vasily had already shot 40 German troops in the first 10 days of the battle. The unrefined shooting skill attracted the attention of the regimental commander,...

    Evaluation action

The series of war scenes at the beginning of "Army Under the City" can be compared to "Saving Private Ryan", or in a narrow sense, it is like two people playing cat and mouse while destroying Stalingrad. Obviously the Nazis are the cats, and the Russians are worried that they will be the mice. ( " Chicago Sun " review
