The price of tolerance: two tragedies across the ocean

The Panyu police in Guangzhou reported today (January 19): At 14:00 on January 18, the girl Chen (female, 11 years old, from Panyu) disappeared on her way to school. At about 21:50 that night, the Panyu police found Chen's body at the bottom of the Guangming Expressway viaduct in Weiyong Village, Shibi Street. The cause of death was suspicious. After the case occurred, the Panyu police immediately set up a task force to investigate. After 10 hours of hard work, the police of the task force...

      Dear Zachary

Heavy and touching, heavy because it exposes the evils of human nature, as a fellow, I am a little ashamed, and touching because after the tragedy, I feel the goodness of human nature, how can I perceive these beautiful things without being alive. First of all, the director summoned all the people related to Andrew's life and went around the world in order to let Zachary know how great his father is someday when he grows up. This behavior is really too poking! Sure enough,...

A tragedy that could have been avoided

Yesterday I watched a documentary online on NETFLIX, titled: Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father. I just wanted to look at it, but I didn't expect to look at it. After reading it, I was still very angry.

The director, Kurt Kuenne, grew up near Silicon Valley. He liked making movies since he was a child. He has a childhood boy named Andrew Bagby, short and chubby, and often plays a comedy, a slayed idiot, and so on in small movies. Andrew is the only child in the family...

The story is very touching, but I don’t think there is anything good about the filming.

The whole incident was a sensation, just like the book written by Zachary's grandfather sold out within 4 weeks, everything is derived from this shocking case, and the thing that really touches people's heart is the grandfather and grandmother to the son/grandson Love, anger at Sherly's behavior, and doubts about the judicial system in New Foundland, Canada.
Director Kurt filmed in the form of home video, which may be helpful to the description of this family case, but the overall feeling...

    Movie plot

When a film producer made a documentary remembering his friend who was killed, he discovered that the woman who killed him was pregnant with the child of the friend who was killed.
Director Kurt’s extremely powerful documentary was originally intended to cherish the memory of his slain friend Andrew Bagby, who was murdered by his crazy ex-girlfriend in 2001. However, when Kurt flew over half of the world to interview the friends and...

    Movie quotes

    • Kurt Kuenne: I didn't want to stop making this movie.

    • Himself - Colleague: I'd be happy if I had 1/10 of the people care 1/2 about me as much as they did Andrew.

    • Kurt Kuenne: She was again let go on $75,000 sureties, not one penny of which had to be paid. And with that, the Government of Canada let a probable premeditated first-degree murderer walk the streets again.
