"Life is not the same as the movie, life is much harder" - the classic movie "Paradise Cinema"

Thirty years later, what will you be like when you return to your hometown?

The classic movie we are going to review today is "Paradise Cinema", which has been released for its 30th anniversary.

"Paradise Cinema" tells the story of a boy named Dodo and the cinema projectionist Evert in Sicily, a small town in southern Italy.

      About...

      give me a paradise cinema

After this morning, if my friends ask me which movies are worth watching, I will answer with an affectionate and loud voice: "Paradise Cinema." I don't know where to start, because every aspect is handled beautifully. This is a work that warms to my heart, and it made me pause and wipe away my tears many times. Let's talk about the warm projectionist Alfred first.

Alfred is another male protagonist of the film. He has multiple identities. He is also a teacher and friend with the...

There is a movie theater called heaven

In the paradise of movies, one can forget everything for a while. Along with the plot of the movie, laugh together and cry together.
Duo Duo (Savatelli Casio) was born in a small town in southern Italy. In those war years, people loved watching movies. I hope to get some spiritual enjoyment from the movie and forget about the troubles of life for the time being. Cinema has become an ideal "paradise". In the cinema, there is no distinction between high and low, all are the same identity -...

The movie music is very sad. The 2 heroines who like to grow old are so beautiful. Evert thought that his original intervention was for a lot of future, in order to let him escape from this small world, but who knew that he would miss out on love and let him live in sorrowful memories for a lifetime. Without love in life, what is the meaning of wanting those illusory fame and...

In the beginning, the movie witnessed life, and in the end, the movie became life. Movies may not be as easy as life, but in fact, it doesn’t have to be. I never expect anything from movies, but the god of movies is still satisfied again and again. My greed makes me linger in the world of movies again and again. Gently tap the magic of light and shadow, and through the movie, I, a humble movie fan, gained happiness, emotion and excitement. It is obviously another world behind the screen, but it...

      1. In fact, it is quite uncomfortable for a male to stare at the whole film now. 2. I can't empathize with the male protagonist's love (probably because some of the content was cut out) 3. If it's good, I won't praise it. Everyone should have praised...

Cinema Paradiso: a film dedicated to cinema and cinema! - The first time: I watched the end of the movie with tears in my eyes while sobbing! 2nd time: Crying when fire takes projectionist Evert's vision! ——Comparing the 124-minute international version and the 173-minute extended version, I still prefer the former, the latter's love scenes are a bit lengthy, and it also gives Evert a small stain, which makes me a little disgusted. —— 2014.01.04: To be able to relive the beloved "Paradise...

The old man said to Toto: Don't look back, leave here, don't come back even if you miss me, I won't open the door if you come to me. He said that this town has always been like this, it won't change, and if you stay here, you'll think it's the center of the world. By the end, we've all seen the town change, people get older, TV replaces movies, and the lunatic can no longer maintain his square because there's a bunch of motor vehicles he can't get out of there. The sky is full of wires, and the...

    Movie plot

In the small town of Giancaldo in southern Italy, Xiao Duoduo not only liked to watch movies, but also watched movies "cut" by the projectionist Ivorda: In the small Italian town of the 1940s, movies had to be checked by the priest before being screened. Only after the scenes that are considered inappropriate for the audience (such as kissing scenes) are strictly cut off, they can be screened. Therefore, every time the audience finds...

    Evaluation action

This is a life journey that belongs to the protagonist Duoduo, a condensed style painting of a small Sicilian town; a supreme tribute to movies and filmmakers, and a profound memory of love and the past.  ( Comment by " Henan Daily" )
The setting of the script and the performance of the actors are very good. I will take a breath when I am moved. The old projectionist edited the clips that are not suitable for children to watch and made...

    Movie quotes

    • Alfredo: [after informed about the arrival of the new non-combustible film] Progress always comes late.

    • Alfredo: Living here day by day, you think it's the center of the world. You believe nothing will ever change. Then you leave: a year, two years. When you come back, everything's changed. The thread's broken. What you came to find isn't there. What was yours is gone. You have to go away for a long time... many years... before you can come back and find your people. The land where you were born. But now, no. It's not possible. Right now you're blinder than I am.

Salvatore: Who said that? Gary Cooper? James Stewart? Henry Fonda? Eh?

Alfredo: No, Toto. Nobody said it. This time it's all me. Life isn't like in the movies. Life... is much harder.

    • Alfredo: Once upon a time, a king gave a feast. And there came the most beautiful princesses of the realm. Now, a soldier, who was standing guard, saw the king's daughter go by. She was the most beautiful one, and he immediately fell in love with her. But what could a poor soldier do when it came to the daughter of the king? Well, finally, one day, he managed to meet her, and he told her that he could no longer live without her. The princess was so impressed by his strong feelings that she said to the soldier: "If you can wait 100 days and 100 nights under my balcony, then at the end of it, I shall be yours." Damn! The soldier immediately went there and waited one day. And two days. And ten. And then twenty. And every evening, the princess looked out of her window, but he never moved. During rain, during wind, during snow, he was always there. The bird shat on his head, and the bees stung him, but he didn't budge. After ninety nights, he had become all dried up, all white, and the tears streamed from his eyes. He couldn't hold them back. He no longer had the strength to sleep. All that time, the princess watched him. And on the 99th night, the soldier stood up, took his chair, and went away.

Salvatore: [later in the film, Toto gives Alfredo his interpretation] ... In one more night, the princess would have been his. But she also could not possibly have kept her promise. And it would have been terrible. He would have died. This way, however, at least for 99 days, he was living under the illusion that she was there, waiting for him.
