Since I didn't know it beforehand, I watched this movie with a very low mood. I was taken aback at the end, only to know it was a biography.
I don't know why, but I felt relieved after reading it. My idea is not Christine, the world of perfectionism and idealism is always hovering between bliss and extreme sadness. "If the world can't fit in with me, then I'll leave." These words have flashed back in my mind countless times, and now it seems so similar.
With the sound of a...

Adapted from the true story of Christine Chubbuck, a famous American news anchor in 1974. 29-year-old Kristen (Rebecca Hall) was the premier female anchor at the time, with both beauty and intelligence. But in the 1970s, it was not easy for outstanding career-oriented women to gain recognition in society and the workplace. Coupled with love and family issues, Christine was already under tremendous pressure. TV stations decide life and death by ratings, ordering news programs to include more...

The heroine has serious self-awareness problems and lacks basic judgment ability, which eventually leads to unfortunate work in her life and suicide to end her life.
Among them, the heroine has always believed that she has paid a lot and has strong ability, and she should be promoted as a matter of course. She is strong at work. Although she didn't say it clearly, she made her colleague Jean a subordinate. She thought she was superior, and if she was in a bad mood, she would play a...

she took her own life on the morning news
It's a morning in Florida. People turned on the TV and sat down comfortably, munching on breakfast cereal and watching the news. As usual, what's going on on Channel 40 is the Sunshine Coast Morning News. When reporting on a shooting in an airport restaurant, a small situation arose - the videotape of the camera crew appeared to be jammed by the machine and could not be broadcast. The female anchor Christine shrugged and continued to maintain a professional smile, saying in a...

A three-star movie, but Rebecca Hall is going to give it five stars. It is unimaginable what an intelligent and capable woman would have to endure in that era. Rebecca grasped the feeling of nervousness in this woman's tenacity very well, and slowly released the feeling of a camel being crushed to death. Love that song at the end. The world is so big and you are...

The film is too simplistic in its representation of the conflict of working principles of media...
Bob Andersen: Don't get hung up on every little thing... god knows life is hard enough as it is.
Christine: Maybe you should film the chickens having SEX so we can see how the eggs are REALLY made!
[laughs nervously]
Christine: uh, I'm just joking, just joking...
Chicken Lady: [giggling] Ooh, I've seen it, and it ain't pretty!
Steve: Hey, Chris, do you want to go to lunch?
Christine: Maybe tomorrow.
Steve: Okay. Rain check.
[Christine watches him leave, and resumes typing her suicide note]
