I enjoyed the film---it was quite offbeat and Charlie's character was pretty engaging and delightful---it was refreshing to see a rich kid that wasn't portrayed as a snobbish know-it-all, who was actually kind of sweet & eccentric (and a little manipulative when he had to be.). The thing with Charlie, I think, is that he simply wanted to be popular, and he also had some issues with his father not being around. In fact he says at one point in the film that he didn't know where he fit in...

Everyone has their own story, no one's life is always smooth sailing, no one's life is always terrible, no one is always so special, no one is always so ordinary.
Charlie is awesome and everyone needs his help. No, not really, everyone just needs to do what they want to do, but they don't have the confidence to need others to affirm themselves. Charlie is a child, he needs help from others, it's not that he can't do anything, it's like he almost killed his classmate indirectly, he can't...

The headmaster is a father, but a failed father, especially after meeting Charlie, became a failed headmaster.
Perhaps where there is oppression, there is resistance.
In order to keep abreast of the whereabouts of the students, the principal installed probes in the four corners of the school. The students are afraid of the principal's power, but they hate it in their hearts.
The story culminates with the arrest of Charlie, the relationship between the daughter and her father is...

I originally came for KAT DENNINGS, but after watching ANTON YELCHIN's performance, I have to say that it is very good. This CHARLIE BARTLETT, a young man who fantasizes about becoming the focus of people's attention every day, his experience is actually very similar to that of most teenagers. He is full of passion and fantasy, and he has to face the ruthless reality. The correct growth process, the maturity of the mind sometimes has to go through the ravages from one extreme to the other, with...

Very impressed with if u wanna sing out
Watching this film with great interest
, but it doesn't seem to be that exciting
. It's not my style,
but there is still a bright spot. It
must be the song Susan sang at the end.
If u wanna sing out ,
it sounds good
Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
And if you want to live high, live high
And if you want to live low, live low
And if you want to be me, be me
And if you want to be you, be...

2013.6.4 You have to grow up if "you have one parent ditched and then the other one lose their mind". There is a reason why a child has maturity that does not match his age, but he is always a child. This movie is higher than I expected, 3.5 stars. (The principal is drunk and cute when he is fired...)

The happy life of the rich second generation Nini Soy Sauce!...
Principal Gardner: Oh, I encourage you to listen all you like, but let's face it, you're not a professional.
Marilyn Bartlett: No.
Principal Gardner: And these medications have a legitimate use. They've helped a lot of people. It's a generational thing. You know teenagers always find a way to abuse something. And why not, right? Being zonked out of your mind is a lot more fun than dealing with your problems.
Henry Freemont: [carrying a protest sign that says "THIS IS A SCHOOL NOT A PRISON" and chanting on bullhorn] This is a school, not a prison.
Principal Gardner: Thanks, because I couldn't read the sign.

Dr. P. Sarossy: I must say, of all the kids applying for a summer internship, you have quite a checkered history.
Charlie Bartlett: I understand, and I'm sure you have a whole stack of people with perfect backgrounds and no, uh... disciplinary record. Really, I'd do anything to work here.
Dr. P. Sarossy: Well, let's get on with the interview. I... got a hell of a day ahead of me.
Charlie Bartlett: Would you like to talk about it?
