      loneliness everywhere

"Burning" is about the loneliness of people in modern society. Several doubts are interpreted as follows.

      1. The well that Hae-mi mentioned exists. On the day when the three of them were together, she told the story of the well. It was obvious that Hae-mi cared about Jong-soo and even had a crush on him. About Zhong Xiu, Hai Mei remembers very clearly, including saying that Hai Mei was ugly in junior...

The destination is emptiness, not burning: "Burning" from the perspective of cultural studies

"Burning" is the work of the famous Korean director Li Changdong eight years later. It is adapted from the short story "Burning the Barn" by Murakami Murakami. Murakami's novels were once regarded as the most difficult works to adapt, characterized by the sense of alienation between people and the loneliness of life in the works. This time, Li Cangdong's adaptation not only preserves the loneliness and indistinguishability between reality and reality in Haruki Murakami's works, but also...

To our youth full of hunger and despair

The wandering of young people in reality and fantasy, and their youth full of hunger and despair.

There are two kinds of people in the world depicted in the movie, one is physical hunger and the other is spiritual hunger. Physical hunger represents a basic need, and spiritual hunger represents a higher need.

Money determines whether a person lives with physical hunger or spiritual hunger. For those who do not recognize this cruel reality, they are probably left with only the...

Everything in the world is a metaphor | Talking about Li Cangdong's Burning and Murakami's burning warehouse

Nichts auf der Welt ist keine Methapher.

Everything in the world is a metaphor. This sentence comes from Goethe and was later used by Murakami in "Kafka on the Shore".

      1,

This Murakami-style vocabulary is also deliberately taken care of in Li Cangdong's new work "Burning". Along with "Metaphor", there is also "sacrifice". We...

      "calm"

"Burning" is very "cool and quiet"! Three empty and lonely characters, a deeply chilling story. After watching the film, there are only two words "cold and quiet" in my mind. Standing on the sidelines, as if everything has nothing to do with you, the indifference is chilling; watching the changes, letting everything develop in an unknown direction, but still deadly quiet. The irony is that at the end, when the cold knife, the hot blood and the messy snowflakes are intertwined, the only...

When Yoo Ah-in was masturbating at the phallic-like signal tower through the window (although it was ostensibly in pursuit of that fleeting reflection), I thought a little LGBT drama would be added later, especially when I felt that it was showing little interest in The Walking Dead. The emotional side of Steven Won (other than "too many Gatsbys in Korea") could get more...

Haruki Murakami's "Gatsby" complex, like a fairy tale, can't come to fruition. Falling on Li Cangdong, who has a high enthusiasm for social criticism, the most straightforward class symbols are...

A movie with a high temperament to restore the novel, although I can't fully understand the people and things in the story in the film, but every transition seems to be...

3.5. I read "Burning the Barn" only after watching it, and the muttering was quite interesting, but after reading the book, I became a genius. Probably the closest I've come to the original party. It is so rare to understand how rare each encounter with nothingness and existence is, and how tempting it is to repeat "everything is false" to show that I understand it too, or that I am getting more and more angry because of it, but what is it? Who is more eager to pour out? Can rare and rare be...

Li Cangdong's problem is too real, which is probably the root cause of his low birth, and it is easy to be hollowed out. He probably realized it too, so he started to play with the real and avoid the real. But this kind of trick is often easy to make old people in his hands, and they are arranged side by side, all greeting at one point, and the aura often cancels each other due to repetition. And the most terrible thing is the addition that he likes to do, the realistic criticism of forced...

    Behind the scenes gags

When actor Steven Yeun received this role in the United States, he learned about the original novel of むらかみはるき. After reading the novel, he flew to Korea and met the director Lee Chang-dong, but he was ready to reject the role at the time. I was afraid that the acting would be broken, leaving a stain on Lee Chang-dong's work.
Steven Yeun was born in South Korea and grew up in the Midwestern United States. During the four months of...
