"Broken Embrace": Let True Love Live Forever in Movies
"Broken Embrace": Let True Love Live Forever in Movies
Liu Qiang loves movies
I have always admired Almodóvar's ability to make up stories, and "Broken Embrace" clearly stemmed from a question - what if the director fell in love with the heroine? Starting from this question, Almodovar slowly diverged, setting up obstacles for the lovers, for example, the heroine is the wife of a wealthy businessman, for example, the director's ex-girlfriend is full of jealousy about this...

Don't let the dazzling brilliance cover the humbleness and greatness of the dust
When the pictures that were torn apart by jealousy were spread out, when the male protagonist rubbed his hands on the blurred video of "The Last Kiss", the past love could only rely on memory to pass through to keep warm. But this is not the most moving part of the film, but because it is so rich and colorful that people involuntarily fall into this love vortex, mistakenly thinking that this is the point, and perhaps because of this reason too many film critics complain that A Dao has lost this...

If I hadn't re-created movies with similar themes, and if I hadn't watched the big screen, would I love this movie so much? However, I really like the direction of the film that directly points to human nature and human existence.
Suspense and repeated use. It supports the film and drives the rhythm of the audience.
The clever combination of time and space: When the heroine is playing on the movie screen in the movie, there is a counterpoint on the movie screen, and the due...

Almodóvar handles many of the out-of-the-ordinary feelings in a similar way, assuming that they are not special, and tells the story quietly in an Almodóvar-esque narration that is sober and flamboyant. I feel that he loves tragic stories, but believes that tragic is the most normal form of life.
This attitude struck me initially. I am narrow-minded and feel that this world has a single value, the front is bright and beautiful, and the back is dark and treacherous. Everyone should go...

For sure, except for those vulgar and boring plot segments, the film itself is very good,
but I really can't understand the values conveyed by the film. Are they not wrong in themselves? Why are the hero and heroine described so 'pathetic and sympathetic'? And they haven't experienced any real twists and turns, just blindly evading this irresponsible value in a willful and naive way. [Tears and touching] I really feel very puzzling!
And the original lovers and wives of both men...

Why do I keep feeling that the director is pretending to be...
Diego: When you were waiting at the roundabout, for a car to pass on your left, Lena and you kissed.
Mateo Blanco: We kissed? I don't remember that.
Diego: It's a normal kiss, the kind couples give each other out of habit.
Mateo Blanco: The last kiss.
Diego: Yes. Lena didn't die in your arms, like you'd dreamed, but the last sensation she took from this world was your mouth.

Modelo: What's your name?
Mateo Blanco: Harry Caine.
[voiceover]
Mateo Blanco: I used to be called Mateo and I was a film director. I was always tempted by the idea of being someone else, as well as myself. Living one's life wasn't enough, so I invented a pseudonym, Harry Caine, an adventurer who, as fate would have it, became a writer. I had him sign all the scripts and stories I wrote. For years, Mateo Blanco and Harry Caine shared the same body, mine. But a moment came when suddenly I could only be Harry Caine. I became my pseudonym. A self-made writer made by himself. There was just one unforseen detail. Harry Caine would be a blind writer.

Ray X: That's what we've got re-edited.
Mateo Blanco: Do you think it's worth carrying on, or is it crazy?
Diego: What? I pissed myself laughing. I'm dying to see what happens.
Judit García: It's wonderful, Mateo!
Diego: It's hilarious. You have to re-release it.
Mateo Blanco: No, what matters is to finish it. Films have to be finished, even if you do it blindly.
