Kaleidoscopes in the hands of sexy teens

After reading the original book "The Flesh of Evil" and then looking back at the movie "The Bright Years", it is a very wonderful adaptation. "Bright Young People" is not a complete rendition of the original novel, but selectively tells the story of the main character group "the Bright Young People" in the book. And the movie does not use the original title "Vile Bodies" but instead uses the title "The Bright Young Things" with the title of "bewitching teenagers". The original novel is a...

      Can't write short reviews

Michael Sheen is enchanting camp with fat and powder, David Tennant dyed his hair and ginger hair named Ginger, good lady Emily Mortimer smoky makeup to cover up innocence, James Mcavoy is sensitive, trembling and fragile... The actors in this film are a group of Bright Young People, plus All the old goblins such as Peter O'toole, Simon McBurney, Jim Broadbent and others have gone to the phonograph to play tickets.

Only Stephen Fry, who was already fascinated by the upper-class...

It's just pure afterthought (I don't know why there are so many words)

What kind of bloody love triangle is this? The heroine was sold twice, I really feel distressed... She should not be very happy after marriage, look at the clothes she wore when she came home at the end of the film... Then she seems to have gone to work in the factory? (Actually I don't think the plot is very outstanding, it may be that my English is not very good at raw meat, I should blame it on my poor English.I couldn't fully understand what the characters said, because of the speed and...

Alias: Are we going to get married?

This movie was originally watched for Yimei, although he is not the protagonist, but I really like this movie so much.

This film is adapted from the early novel "vile bodies" by Evelyn Waugh who wrote "After the Wind and Rain". "The Great Gatsby" is a work in the same realm, and the director of the film is Stephen Frey, a British national treasure actor and known as Uncle Fried. When I watched this movie, my biggest feeling was: the film and television circle of the rotten country is...

So many familiar faces, so kind

The movie that made up for Yimei recently was directed at Yimei's eyes. I didn't expect this movie to be incredibly warm to watch. It's good to watch old movies, the familiar faces are too kind.

The main actor Moore is not impressed, but his face is very familiar. Back then, it was the standard white-faced scholar image. The £34,000 terrier that I got in the end really made me laugh. Good luck is the real good luck in the end.

Nina Emily Mortimer is so sweet and so skinny. Except...

I feel like I want to cover up, I want to say nothing, I have more than enough power but I can't make enough. PS. The image of Yimei's character is very...

In the same era, the lives of high-class and extravagant young men and women, the descriptions between the United Kingdom and the United States - or the descriptions of Uncle Fried and Baruzi are completely different. On one side, there are endless drunkenness and frivolity, and on the other side, there is classical music and a superficial cultured accent. I prefer this kind of feeling. Old money keeps their dignity strictly, and Yimei's tabloid reporter hates the upper class. These things are...

The role of michael sheen is too cute. Uncle Fried showed us a satirical story in a humorous and witty way. The protagonist seems to have never heard of it. He keeps running to get money, and the rhythm is very...

Bright Young Thing! A film with a god-level cast! Fried uncle godlike personnel and harem! Paper drunk and gold fans can't cover up the degenerate vanity. Zhan Yimei has almost no friends in the beauty, and although she has few roles, she interprets the seductive, fragile and neurotic lonely aristocratic tabloid reporter almost perfectly... Michael Sheen is simply a highlight! The presence of the male protagonist is really in a group of...

    Movie plot

In London in the 1930s, young people indulged in various dances all day long. They drank and had promiscuity. The writer Adam is one of them. In order to enter the upper class, he decided to marry the socialite Nina, known as the "prom animal". When he returned from France, the books he brought back were seized by customs because of unhealthy content, which made him lose a lot of money. So Adam had to raise a sum of money as soon as...

    Positive review

Frey's wonderful dialogue and Wo's wit are perfectly intertwined, while softening the irony of the novel. The most significant change in the film is that the film ends with a happy reunion, which is more optimistic about the future than the chaotic emotion expressed in the novel. However, some critical criticisms made the audience question the production level of the film, but the film itself is very successful and impeccable. (London...

    Negative evaluation

Frey is a gentle actor and a talented genius, with extraordinary talents and a thriving literary career, but under his direction, this British film has become bland and frustrating. (Chicago Reader's Review)
The problem with the film is not the adaptation of the plot, nor the deleted comedy scenes. Except for the wonderful guest appearances of old actors Jim Browderbent and Peter O'Toole, many of the performances in the film are too...

    Movie quotes

    • Ginger Littlejohn: What I'm about to say is that what I'm about to say may sound unpleasant, y'know, and all that, but look here, y'know, dammit. I mean, the better man has won. Not, um, that I'm saying that I'm the better man, I wouldn't say that for a moment, awful bad luck on you and all but still, when you come to think of it I mean look here, y'know. Dammit. Do you see what I mean?

    • Adam Fenwick-Symes: Good afternoon. Is Mr Blount in?

Colonel Blount: There's no Mr Blount here. This is Colonel Blount's house.

Adam Fenwick-Symes: I'm sorry. I think the colonel is expecting me to lunch.

Colonel Blount: Nonsense! I'm Colonel Blount.

    • Colonel Blount: Don't think me discourteous, but I'm afraid it's impossible for me to ask you to luncheon. I have a guest coming on intimate family business. It's some young rascal who wants to marry my daughter.

Adam Fenwick-Symes: Well, I want to marry your daughter too.

Colonel Blount: What an extraordinary thing. Are you sure?
