      Desires don't lie

A gorgeous feast that shoots straight out of the human heart, a blessing full of confidence or a temptation to lead into the abyss, all of which will be revealed here.

On the barren coast, priests lead a group of devout believers to live a life of pure service. Their lives are like a test paper. The teachings instruct them to give up pleasure, and only after passing can they reach the paradise of bliss. The pastor's two beautiful daughters believed that only by rejecting...

Anyway, it is much prettier than the tip of the tongue

Wednesday night movie viewing in the school's standard screening room. The rhythm in the front is slightly delayed, the literary nature is higher than the film, the voice-over seems to be speaking from pictures, and there is no interest in Christianity, which is a bit boring. From the moment Babette proposed to prepare a French feast, it looked good, the rhythm of the audio-visual language was right, a lot of panning shots, beautiful and coherent. The contrast of skirmishes and reactions is...

      Heart-piercing Babette Feast

"Babette's Banquet" has a concentrated and group-like presentation of the characteristics of Christian Lutherans, who are simple, poor, ascetic, and devout, which are reflected in the fact that they eat hard to swallow day after day. The food is more reflected in the priest's two beautiful daughters with clear voices who sacrificed their love between men and women for their religious beliefs.

And all these peaceful lives that have been maintained for many years are caused by a French...

A blissful feast for the palate

      Text | Jia Nan

One vegetable and one meal is the basic desire of human beings. There are many movies about food. Watch "The God of Sushi" to experience the heart of Japanese craftsmen in simple ingredients, and watch "Julie and Julia" to search for yourself from 524 dishes... "Babette's" was released in 1987. Although the filming time of "Feast" was earlier, it creatively integrated food, religion and art into one. A person, regardless of region,...

When the fable shines into the world

      #eufilm2018

The same fable is better than Lazaro.

Looking back at the simplicity and elegance of 1987 in 2018 when material is no longer scarce, it happens to correspond to the theme of the film. It would be disrespectful to regard this film as purely food porn or theology at that time, because I am not interested in religion at all, and the part of hand-in-hand singing carols is regarded as an artistic expression, and the two parts of emotion and food are enough. The love story...

Want to see 2483. Delicate and tactful, calm and restrained. Not a purely religious film, but a beautiful chemical reaction triggered by piety. As a climactic French meal, wrap everything in it and bloom through the...

    Evaluation action

This Danish film has brought the "food film style" on the screen for nearly two decades. The first half of the film is very simple and elegant, the love story of the two sisters is tender and touching, and it also makes people understand the folk customs of the Danish parish; the second half focuses on the whole preparation and cooking process of the feast, and French cuisine The color, fragrance, and taste of Lutheran people are fully...
