      Too ambitious to carry

Autobiographical Sicilian stories, trilogy classics, Morricone’s soundtrack, "Baaria" (also translated as Barria, the Sicilian dialect of Bagria) did not become popular. However, after the opening screening in Venice, the film suffered a lot of bad reviews. On the contrary, the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi yelled it out. The situation was quite embarrassing.

It took three years for Tona Tore to film "Baaria". He told a family legend through decades of historical changes....

The hometown dream that still continues

"Baaria: The Gate of the Wind" is a tribute to his hometown of Sicily launched by Tonadore after the "Sicilian Trilogy", which has been dormant for many years. If I didn't insist on seeing the end, I wouldn't want to write about it.
Is it painful or comfortable at the moment of death? I think it will be comfortable. The experience of a lifetime should always be reviewed with the last bit of effort. Even if it's an unforgivable offender, or a Jiangyang thief, it should be at ease...

In Sicily, I also drank cow blood

I watched this movie while chatting with Brother Gan last night. But until I went to the park, I didn't finish it. I finished watching the second half of the movie today. This film is a film produced by the Italian Prime Minister’s daughter Maria Berlusconi as the producer and the director of "Paradise Cinemas" Giuseppe Tonadore once again with Sicily as the background. The director is Gemini, and Gemini’s thinking jump can be actually felt from the first half of the movie. How a child grows...

      Baaria: Life is a cycle

Baaria is on the Italian island of Sicily. There is a place for stories. In particular, Giuseppe Tonadore regards his hometown as his source of inspiration. From "Paradise Cinema" to "The Beautiful Legend of Sicily", how many people have been moved by the stories that happened on this island! This time he put the small town of Baaria near Palermo on the screen again. The beautiful scenery was the same as before, with the same orange and yellow color, but without the warm feeling. On the...

The evolution of the Italian family, the classics are no longer

Compared with the Sicilian trilogy, this film fully reveals the director's ambition to make an Italian epic film. Unfortunately, an Italian family history is clearly far from the epic blockbuster category.
The shadow of heaven can be seen everywhere in the film, but there is no doubt that the success of heaven lies in the delicate depiction of the growth of a small person, and the historical background and war process from a small point. The viewer's perception of it. And the political...

    Movie plot

Pepino's family is a peasant family that has experienced several major political turmoil in Italian history. Although not rich, it has survived fascist rule, World War II, and post-war political party struggles with Italian characteristics. They are farmers, so they are occasionally employed by the landlord Don Giacinto. However, Giacinto is not a decent person, always looking for every opportunity to defraud the civilians.
    When Pepino...

    Evaluation action

The opening of "Baarìa" has a sense of carnival absurdity, and various noisy sound effects have once covered Ennio Morricone's soundtrack. But the film becomes more mainstream as it goes to the back. The rhythm falls from the opening of a waterfall and gradually becomes sensational. After the protagonist becomes famous, even the tone and perspective are biased towards Hollywood techniques. At the end, the director can only rely on...
