Pasolini's "One Thousand and One Nights"

The Thousand and One Nights of Pasolini is said to be the best movie that restores the narrative style of ancient legends.
      The seductive, wretched, messy,
erotic story is inexplicable, full of free-spirited vitality that common sense and morality cannot outline.
This one grabbed my heart tightly. The joyful and dirty stories in these images are far more vivid than
the men and women in today's movies without the frail, indifferent faces . "One Thousand and One Nights," along...

      Bassolini love

After tossing for nearly two hours, I finished watching "A Thousand and One Nights" by Italian director Bassolini. I was glad I didn't watch "One Hundred and Twenty Days of Sodom". Jedi said that when he went to the film festival , I feel nauseated and want to vomit. A coward like me only dares to buy this book and read it once or twice, and then give it to my Chinese student.

The Chinese DVD cover is very beautiful, but it has nothing to do with the actors in it. The actors in it are...

Skillful ability to create an atmosphere of classical mythology

I think the first thing I admired was Pasolini's skillful ability to create the atmosphere of classical mythology. Baghdad, desert villages, castles and dark people, barefoot. Sand on the bottom of white feet, mosque. I haven't seen Baghdad, but it's very similar to the geography and customs of the Islamic countries in North Africa that I've seen. I don't know where the movie was filmed.

Boys and girls. The joy and laughter of the body before knowing the sophistication. This is not...

      Life (Pasolini's penultimate classic)

A story structure The original postmodernity is

actually just an external concept. Pasolini no doubt just wanted to use the primitive human material in the original book as a reference and construction. True enough, the synopsis has little to do with the original One Thousand and One Nights. From this point of view, Pasolini is really the...

Pasolini's "One Thousand and One Nights"

I think the director and screenwriter Pierre Paolo Pasolini perfectly interprets what this book wants to express.
The story of the book "One Thousand and One Nights" originated from a woman's physical infidelity. A king who saw his wife's infidelity no longer believed in women, and married and killed women every day. Then, a wise woman saved herself and other women by telling stories every day.
In the movie "One Thousand and One Nights", the physical collision of women or men is just...

Stories set stories. The uncle who loves young people. A difficult love story. The nuns lifted the man, touched it, and said, "Whoever comes into this world will like it." The Arab Cao Guiren threw the handkerchief to the clown. What happens when the lover becomes the master? Sex, love, marriage separate. The devil carried the man and flew and turned him into a gorilla. People ringing bells in Nepal. Going to a deserted island to take a bath with Zhengtai, a tragedy...

The paradox is that the structure of the film is a dream within a dream, but the specific Pa forgets what the narrative is; similarly, the characters in the play know what they want, but don't know why. In a civilized society, they are like uncivilized pre-humans. Maybe Pa wants to praise, but it's actually denigration. Even so, Pa is supposed to be lyrical in nature, but paradoxically, he is trying to be brutal. The most well-known trilogy, but it is a sign of Jiang Lang's...

The first two films had a lighthearted and happy tone, but in this one, they suddenly became sad, and the story told is also sad. Pasolini's life trilogy, but the simplicity and stupidity of people in ancient times were filmed. Only the Chinese think the ancients were all...

Pasolini's photography is mostly based on fables and myths. Come and watch, who knows. . . Just like watching the real Thousand and One Nights, it has a strong sense of foreignness and I don't know why there is no cause and effect. . . don't...

The scenery is beautiful, the actors are extremely ugly, and the costumes and props are ugly. Pasolini's images have a special affection and pain. Let's have sex like crazy until we...

    Movie plot

The slave girl Sumaro got the freedom to choose her master. She chose the poor boy Aladdin, taught him the joy of sex, and read to him a story from the book: The king’s sacrificial trip, the king’s poet brother found three young men looking for sex Joy, the king and the queen chose a boy and a girl to make them fall in love.
Soon, the jealous slave owner came and snatched Sumaro. Aladdin was going crazy in a hurry. In order to get...

    Evaluation action

"Il fiore delle mille e una notte" is permeated with a dreamlike feeling from beginning to end. The story is interspersed casually and easily. From the time Sumaro told Aladdin’s first story, the camera constantly shifted and changed. Telling stories in stories makes it almost impossible to tell which ones are real and which ones are dreamy. At the end of the film, Aladdin and Sumaro finally meet again. Like all fairy tales in Arabia,...
