      short comment

2016 American movie "All the Way": I used to have little interest in this purely political biopic, but recently it has become more accepted. Is it because I am getting older? However, this film is purely for Bryan Cranston's Tony Award. The stage play was changed into a movie so quickly, so that audiences who can't see the old white on the stage can enjoy his presidential performance. The most powerful point is the shaping of the image, temperament and voice. At the beginning, it was almost...

"All the way to the end": A history that never stops

      Text/Omiear's

film "All the Way to the End", as a personal biopic of the successive US presidents Lyndon Johnson, has a perfect analysis and presentation of history. The film is rooted in history, and its characters and plots are just right to fit it, and the restoration and expression of political struggles are the most proud of the film. As an Emmy Award nominee, the film, aside from its...

America's end is near and far

The man who plays Martin Luther King in the film, you are not ready for a thick black beard, and from the audience's point of view, the interpretation is a bit stiff and unnatural. I think this is the person who looks very awkward in the whole film.

January 20, 1965: Inaugural Address of Lyndon Baines Johnson

My fellow countrymen, on this occasion, the oath I have taken before you and before God is not mine alone, but ours together. We are one nation and one people. Our fate as a nation and our future as a people rest not upon one citizen, but upon all citizens.

This is the majesty and the meaning of this moment.

For every generation, there is a...

      All The Way

I watched this movie for Lao Bai and HBO.

The overall feeling of the film is rather dull, which may be caused by the fact that it is to restore the history. If you don't like political movies, you probably won't be able to watch it. If you want to find the feeling of House of Cards in this film, I am afraid you will be even more disappointed.

Lao Bai's acting skills are not to be mentioned. He has a southern accent, and the range of movements is a bit large, which shows Linden's...

Not to mention the practical level of the script, just for Lao Bai's acting skills, this film should also get five...

Quite good looking! I have a little opinion on Dr. King's makeup. It's just sticking false eyelashes. The "skyslip" of the side lens eyes is really...

    Movie quotes

    • Lyndon B. Johnson: You need to make up your mind once-and-for-all, what kind of Christian you are? Are you a once-a-week fella or do you hold the word in your heart? What kind of politician are ya? Are you just out for yourself or do you want to make a better life for all the people in Georgia? What kind of man are ya? You've got the balls to do what you know is right, or do you just slink away?

    • Lyndon B. Johnson: [turning down Dirksen's project] Nope.

      Everett Dirksen: No?

      Lyndon B. Johnson: No.

      Everett Dirksen: No?

Lyndon B. Johnson: We have echo in here?

    • Lyndon B. Johnson: Everybody wants power, Walter. Everybody. If they say they don't, they're lying.

      Walter Jenkins: Yes, sir.

Lyndon B. Johnson: But everybody thinks it ought to be given out -- free of charge, like Marti Gras beads. Especially to them, because, of course, they're going to do GOOD with it. Nothing comes free. Nothing. Not even good. Especially not good.
