Godard No. 5: A woman is a woman

This is a "love letter" from Godard in love to Karina. There are a lot of close-ups of Karina, just like a photo of Karina.
If I were Godard, I would prefer to marry Joan in "Exhausted" -Belmondo is a wife, so I don't think Karina is pretty :p
I thought Belmondo looked like Winona Ryder the first time I saw the poster for "Exhausted", until the last time I saw it When it's over, I still feel like it's all natural and beautiful :)
Anyway, "A Woman is a Woman" may be Godard's most...

A woman is a woman, a movie is a movie

Should I analyze the plot, or the way the movie is told? As if you've watched the movie and read the reviews, you won't know anything about either.
Godard openly reminds the audience: you are watching a movie. When the heroine came out of the coffee shop, she glanced at the camera in a playful way. In the general director, this is a typical camera cut, but in Godard, it is called unconventional shrewdness.
Then there's music. Completely subjective and deliberate partition and tear....

      Voice

I discussed his three main shooting techniques in my reading notes a long time ago. This one mainly focuses on auditory matters. Compared with the previous ones, it is a jumping one, except for some of them that use direct Audio recording (which should be included in the concept of direct film) is the so-called "dissonance" sound effect, but I don't agree with this way of modification, because it is more like Godard trying to give the sound an independent montage channel, so that he no longer...

      "Everything is a Movie"
(Ming Pao) Sunday, June 08, 05:05AM
[Ming Pao News] (Abstract: A review of Richard Brody's original Gundam, "Everything is a Movie: The Creative Life of Jean-Louis Gundam" "The long-awaited release is a great joy this week.)

The book has just arrived, and I only have time to read its preface and the first two chapters, so it is difficult to accurately identify its pros and cons. But judging from the content of the more than fifty pages, at...

      Playing around Godard

Godard, who was filming "A Woman Is a Woman", was still getting along with Trufo! Although Paris in the movie is in color, it is exactly the same as the streets of "Four Hundred Strikes". In the film, you can even hear the title of Truffau: The middle-aged woman of Angela Luyu said that just after watching "Ancestor and Occupy", Alfred’s ex-girlfriend made a gesture of playing the piano and shooting her. The movie I watched today is "Shoot the Pianist". Of course Godard did not forget to...

Jumping soundtrack, chaotic editing, teasing of traditional movies and sadism to the audience, using color and composition to reflect the character's inner changes and metaphors for male and female emotions, Godard said that even the people closest to you have little interest in your life at this time You should think about how to tell the...

Could it be that the prelude to Brother's "Love for You" came from the episode the two of them listened to in the tavern? Godard once again proved that he only has no film language skills that he doesn't want to shoot, but he doesn't know how to...

I would give four and a half stars. His films are not out of date to this day. Lightness, liveliness, publicity, irony, jumps and tributes, deliberate alienation, quotations and small flaws, and sometimes extremely delicate. Maybe it's just a sketch he wrote at random. Godard, why are you engaging in...
