A film that took only six days to shoot. The narrative is a little clumsy, but as a film noir, it can still linger in my mind in horror." "Due to some mysterious power, fate can manipulate you and me for no...

The 4k restored version I saw in the cinema, the photography is textbook-level, and the rest are not particularly outstanding. The protagonist is too unlucky. The lines reveal dry humor. I don't know if everyone's acting skills are too bad or the characters are happy. Anyway, the audience kept laughing. . ....

The filming is very rough, it belongs to the raw material of film noir, and it is still a long way from being a...

"Detour" is "Coen Brothers Top 10", "100 Great Movies" and "1001 Movies in My Life", and was even included in the CC standard collection list. The film is standard noir, sinister fatalism, femme fatale and foggy city, and although it was only shot for 6 days, "Detour" is still a masterpiece of low-budget production and film noir...

noir + highway, although low cost and long monologue, but the story is devious enough. The two "murders" at both ends of New York and LA put the protagonist in a dilemma between the classic black image, but the ending is rather...

3.5. If I hadn't read CC's article, I would have been completely unaware of the other side of the film's interpretation. It can be seen that I was really slow to react to the "unrealistic" part of the film (including any other similar films), and I thought it was normal. So to be honest I wasn't "shocked", just thought it was a black road movie with a lot of artistic ideas (editing, lighting, smoke, etc.). And it's another case where the story behind the movie is better than the movie itself....

James Naremore on "Detour"
[From "Film Noir" Chapter 4 Low is High: Budgets and Critical Orientation]
film noir[US] James Naleymore / 2020 / China Academy of Art PressUlmer is a true low-class aesthete, and he seems to enjoy mixing subtle esoteric with vulgarity. In fact, he was one of the most talented European directors...

bad luck...not my fault
After watching this movie, everyone will probably ask: "Can anyone really be so unlucky?"
My answer is: "Who Cares?"
The madman's nonsense, or even a perverted killer to excuse himself, because the logic of the plot is not important at all, the important thing is that this movie is very...

Al Roberts: Yes. Fate, or some mysterious force, can put the finger on you or me for no good reason at all.

Al Roberts: [voiceover] It wasn't much of a club, really. You know the kind. A joint where you could have a sandwich and a few drinks and run interference for your girl on the dance floor.
