People who say that the barefoot boy is not well-known should turn their attention to Japan and Europe and the United States. The Japanese High Command ignored the warning. They made certain the full extent of the damage to Hiroshima was little reported. Three days later on August 9th, another B-29 appeared in the sky above the city of Nagasaki. Japan's High Command is convinced at last.
