  • Yayan Ruhian (Yayan Ruhian) , born in Tasimaya on October 19, 1968 , is an Indonesian martial artist and film actor.
    He has starred in the movies "The Raid: Redemption", and " The Raid2: Thug " and so on. Nicknamed "Uncle Dog" by Chinese movie fans, Ya Yan is usually set as a villain. Although he is small, he has outstanding endurance and fighting skills.
    In 2009, he participated in " Merantau ".

    Early Experience

    Yayan Ruhian was born in Tasikmalaya on October 19, 1968.   At the age of 13, in order to "show his masculinity", he began to learn the traditional martial art Pencak Silat (bancak sura, a Southeast Asian martial art); through hard training, he eventually became a Pencak Silat coach and referee, which made him He is not eligible to participate in the fighting competition. From the late 1980s to the early 1990s, he served in the Indonesian Marine Corps Gendarmerie and joined the Secret Service to protect the president. In 2000, he taught in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, and also learned some further martial arts skills, such as Aikido.

    In 2008, he joined the movie " The Raid : Redemption", and served as the show’s martial artist, and also played a super-powerful killer, Mad Dog, which also allowed fans to see Indonesian traditional martial arts classes in this movie. Sura's greatness also reminded everyone of this little man who can beat, and quickly captured a crowd of fans, everyone called him a mad dog or an uncle. 
    In 2014, he joined " The Raid2: Thugs ". The action scenes are still sturdy and fierce. There are many fists, clubs, car chases, close headshots, brutal close combat, group fights... from the action design Even the editing of the mirrors gives people a very real feeling. And he added many unique fighting scenes, such as fighting in the subway car, fighting in the kitchen, surviving in a small car, and having multiple enemies in the warehouse. 
    At the same time, he also joined the film " Yakuza Apocalypse: The Great War of the Underworld " by Japanese director Takashi Miike . This is Yayan Ruhian's first appearance in a Japanese movie. Ruhian plays the most powerful enemy, "The Rabid Dog", a demon who is covered with tattoos and is full of wild murderousness.  
    In 2015, Yayan Ruhian, Iko Uwais, and Cecep Arif Rahman joined the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" three actors from The Raid who will appear in this movie. 

    Personal Life

    Yayan speaks the national language Basa Sunda; Sundanese fluently , but does not speak English. He has two children. He lives with his wife in Tasikmalaya; because of work, he mainly lives in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. In addition to being an actor, he also taught Pencak Silat .
