      The Knight with Lane Scott

I was very moved after watching the movie.

Because I hadn't read the introduction beforehand, I felt that the camera was very stable, especially in the last 30 minutes, the emotion was very strong, so I thought it would be a more experienced director.

Chinese, female directors, can't film the bloody death of a knight?

When the knight fell from the horse, what should he do.

[Knight] is charming from the first frame.

Like "Nowhere", it uses amateur actors, blurs the boundaries between documentaries and feature films, looks like Malick in photography, especially in empty shots, and focuses on marginal/small groups. For this one, the emotion is really rough and delicate. I like two paragraphs the most: one is the design of the scene when the horse is "euthanized". In the shadow against the dark sky, the horse falls and a part of Brady's heart also dies; the other is the design of the last paragraph, where Dad and My sister appeared on the sidelines, and the protagonist looked at his hands and turned away, making me cry.

    The Rider quotes

    • Brady Blackburn: If any animal around here got hurt like I did, they'd have to be put down

    • Brady Blackburn: You know, Lilly, I believe God gives each of us a purpose.

      Lilly Blackburn: Very true.

Brady Blackburn: To the horse, it's to run across the prairie. For a cowboy, it's to ride.
