    Character Evaluation

As an animation director, Ron Clements's name is relatively unfamiliar. The main elements of his directing style are based on two-dimensional animation technology, supplemented by music, singing and dancing elements, and modern interpretation based on classic fairy tales. To some extent, his creative philosophy represents Disney's philosophy. The world of fairy tales, singing and dancing elements, suitable for all ages, happy endings, etc. are all hallmarks of his films. His directing style represents to a large extent the mature commercial model of classic Disney, and the characteristics of his works also reflect the characteristics of Disney's style everywhere. But even for directors like Ron Clements who need to strictly follow Disney’s mature commercial animation model to produce animations, their films will not only have a style, but will have a distinctive style, that is, Disney style. Since the implementation plan is established and produced strictly in accordance with the mature model of Disney's classic two-dimensional commercial animation films, the films will inherit Disney's usual style and characteristics .

      except love and freedom

The second time I watched the movie The Little Mermaid, what I felt most deeply was not her persistence and grievance, nor the tortuous love between them. It was Poseidon's love for Ariel. In fact, as a father, he has always been good for her. In order to save Ariel, he can exchange thrones with...

Little Mermaid: He is so handsome, I want to marry him. Prince: She saved me, and I want to marry her. What kind of love logic is this? Story revelation: Fathers should not obstruct their daughters to find love at will, otherwise they may lose power and position. Anyway, in the end, their daughters will win, ahaha!

It is good to have this level in 1989, but the ending is really too routine.

    The Little Mermaid quotes

    • Ursula: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I can't stand it! It's too easy! The child is in love with a human. And not just any human. A prince!

      [laughs]

Ursula: Her daddy'll love that. King Triton's headstrong, lovesick girl would make a charming addition to my little garden.

    • Sebastian: Down here all the fish is happy / As off to the waves they roll / The fish on the land ain't happy / They sad 'cause they in the bowl / But fish in the bowl is lucky / They in for a worser fate / One day when the boss get hungry.

Fish: Guess who gonna be on the plate?
