    Character Evaluation

Roger Michell is an excellent filmmaker, always known for his love scenes. In the movie "My Cousin Rachel", Roger Michell seems to have adapted the original work of the same name in 1952 intact, but clearly and directly unearthed contemporary gender topics that were originally ambiguous in the original work. Compared with the 1952 version, Roger Michell clearly pointed out in the film that this story can fit into the core of the pain points of contemporary gender relations. The movie "Blackbird" directed by him is profound but slow    . review)
The success of "My Cousin Rachel" stems from the precise and clever expression of the main theme of the film. Director Roger Michell let the film exude, like a long one-note version of bass or piano. The film did not give a clear explanation. The audience needs to judge whether Rachel is good or bad. It is this uncertainty that gives the film an open interpretation   .
