It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a great movie. Coppola used voice and grim pictures to portray Hal’s psychological struggle. A lot of awesome shots, when I look at it, I take screenshots.

Great sound movie. The exchange of fate between the eavesdropper and the eavesdropped forms a polyphony, reproducing city wandering and the nightmare of living alone, neighbor’s intrusion, lover’s questioning, peer’s provocation, employer’s threat, and the change of identity makes Caul change from being an overlooker in control of everything ( God) becomes a pawn (murderer) being manipulated. The front of the sound creates a scam in advance, and the delay of the image strengthens the "authenticity" of the scam, and the closed loop that unfolds shows the character's anxiety and loneliness with nowhere to go.
