The Americans of the past fought for their beliefs, and the Americans of the present fight for their own interests. Almost all people in this war believed that they were standing with God (both warring parties were familiar with the Bible and the book of God) and embodied God's will, so in the end they thought they were willing to accept God's will. Such tragic killings of the same race can only retain a trace of human brilliance if they are not blamed on God. The war is only superficial.
