    Performing Experience

    Joined the Changdi Theatre in 1942 and participated in public performances and film performances everywhere.
    During this period, he often appeared in some movies, and he frequently took the film, but most of them were just insignificant supporting roles.
    In 1945, he finally won an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in " Story of GI Joe " (Story of GIJoe). This was his first film that attracted attention and has since become a popular star, especially his pair of sleepy eyes. Since then, his acting career has been on the right track, and in the 1940s he quickly became a representative of the leading film noir.
    His lazy appearance and uninhibited demeanor have become his biggest weapon for attracting movie fans-whether it is men or women. By the 1950s, he became a real superstar, even though he was briefly imprisoned for smoking marijuana in 1949. But this adds to the charm of his " Bad guy ".
    Although he is always careless about the so-called "art" from the outside, in fact, he is very passionate about the cause he is engaged in. Like his performance in Charles Laughton 's " The Night Of The Hunter ", he even composed music for Orson Welles ' poems performed at the Hollywood Amphitheatre.
    He never seemed to be indifferent to his star status, so he always appeared in some well-known or unknown films with his usual calm attitude.
    In the 1980s, he turned to the television field. Until 1997, he also acted in a TV series.
    His later works were mostly mini albums, and he died on July 1, 1997.
