Don't give up even at the last minute

Many times, we seem to have reached the end of our lives and there is no hope to speak of, but this may just be a turning point in our lives...

Just like Andy, we will inevitably experience the low point of life; but also like Andy, never give up hope, always move towards a goal, there will be a day...

To always have hope is self-salvation

Some people say that life without watching "Shawshank's Redemption" is incomplete. I think only those who have read it carefully understand this sentence.

Everyone's attachments and feelings are different. About hope, about value, about perseverance, I am more impressed.

      Andy, a young and...

It’s a good movie, but it’s far better than this one. Everyone thinks about this movie all day long. In fact, I like Forrest Gump better than the movie of the same year.

"This is a must-see movie for men." Everyone said so. But simply distinguishing between genders will make this movie narrow. "Shawshank's Redemption" breaks through the limitations of men's movies, and the whole story is almost full of incredibly warm tone, and the greatest theme in the movie is "hope." When we have no choice but to encounter the kind of jail that imprisoned the freedom of the soul like Shawshank, are we the helpless old Brook, the discouraged Rhett, or the wise Andy? Use wisdom, trust hope, and face fear bravely to defeat it? Classic movies are classic because they are all doing the same thing-allowing you to appreciate the beauty of hope from different angles.

    The Shawshank Redemption quotes

    • Red: [narrating] Not long after the warden deprived us of his company, I got a postcard in the mail. It was blank, but the postmark said Fort Hancock, Texas. Fort Hancock... right on the border. That's where Andy crossed. When I picture him heading south in his own car with the top down, it always makes me laugh. Andy Dufresne... who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side. Andy Dufresne... headed for the Pacific.

    • Andy Dufresne: [in a letter to Red] Dear Red. If you're reading this, you've gotten out. And if you've come this far, maybe you're willing to come a little further. You remember the name of the town, don't you?

      Red: Zihuatanejo.

Andy Dufresne: I could use a good man to help me get my project on wheels. I'll keep an eye out for you and the chessboard ready. Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well. Your friend. Andy.
