I like this smoky ending, although it doesn't quite match the cool narrative of the first half, but this lightness touches people's hearts. A stubborn old madman has imprisoned himself for 40 years, but travels the world like a prayer.

Duval is not an Eastwood-style tough guy, he hides a tender heart under the occasional weird behavior. Simple town, simple feelings, there is a kind of sad but not sad taste.
