Poorna Jagannathan (Poorna Jagannathan), the daughter of a Naduan diplomat, Jagannathan was born in Tunisia, Tunisia, and grew up in Pakistan, Ireland, India, Brazil and Argentina. She started her university education at the University of Brasilia, Brazil , and graduated from the Journalism Department of the University of Maryland, College Park . In terms of scholarships, she started as a host at an actor's studio (one of the world's top drama schools), but left after the first year.
