I thought the new version was ugly enough, and the old version could be even more ugly. Many colorful passages in the original work were photographed blandly and hastily. The casting was so poor that Gatsby always had the look on her face that she didn't care about Daisy and the whole thing; Daisy was startled and exaggerated. Only Nick can see a little, it turns out to be Sam Watson, the actor of Charlie in "The Newsroom".
