    Early Experience

Mischa Ounskowsky, an American film actor, was born in Russia , whose original name was Misha Onskowsky. Misha's father was an officer in the Russian Navy. When he was a baby, his father died in the Russian-Japanese War , which made him and his mother lose their financial resources. After the Red October in 1917 , Misha lost contact with his family. He became a "street Arab" and lived with homeless young people, struggling to survive in terrible poverty. Soon after, he and his mother reunited. His mother wanted to make a living by relying on her past nursing experience. But it was still difficult to make ends meet, so she took Misha and fled to The Republic of Turkey .
In Constantinople in The Republic of Turkey , Misha's mother contracted typhoid fever while caring for a patient and eventually died. Misha buried her with tears with her own hands. Then Misha started a wandering life again. It was not until 1920 that his grandfather, the violinist Leopold Orr, discovered his whereabouts and brought him to the United States. Initially, Misha studied at the School of Ethics, Morality and Culture in New York, then transferred to drama and performed in Broadway.

In 1928, director Frank Tuttle asked him to play a role in the film "Old Accidents". Since then, he has played small roles for several years, and he has often played characters instead. 1936 was a turning point in his acting career. He played a major role in the film "A Girlfriend's Spring" directed by Gregory Lacava. Misha was known as the "crazy Russian man" on the American screen before and after World War II and was deeply loved by the audience. He acted in about sixty films in the United States, then settled in Europe, and also performed a large number of films in Europe.

[James Stuart] Money is not brought to life, but not to death, standing at the top of the pyramid but alone, "lowly trash" but full of applause, the contrast of class antagonism, the dialogue between the two men in the prison is very exciting, and the sudden Dinner is the funniest.

You Can't Take It with You quotes

    • Tony Kirby: You know, there never was anything in my life that I couldn't get if I didn't scream loud enough.

      Alice Sycamore: Really?

Tony Kirby: Yeah, and I've had plenty of practice with it since I was a baby. I'm pretty terrific at it now. Here, let me show you a little example.

[he screams, and the office boy opens the door]

Tony Kirby: [he screams again, and the office boy leaves]

      [both laugh]

    • Tony Kirby: I can feel a scream coming on right now... it's up here, in my throat! It's fighting to get out!

Alice Sycamore: No, please, don't scream!

      [she screams]

Henry - the Head Waiter: [comes over] What happened?

Tony Kirby: What happened? Well, there was a mouse!

Henry - the Head Waiter: A mouse in this place?

Tony Kirby: What do you mean, 'mouse'? It was a rat, *this* long, and it had hair on it! And there were six or seven of them!
