  • Mickey Rooney (Mickey Rooney, September 23, 1920-April 6, 2014), was born in Brooklyn, New York, whose real name is Joseph Yule, Jr., is an American film actor and entertainer.
    He started acting when he was a child. His professional career spans nearly 90 years, from the 1920s to the 2010s. He has won many awards, including 1 Youth Award, 1 Academy Honorary Award , 2 Golden Globe Awards and 1 Emmy Awards .
    The main works include " A Midsummer Nights Dream " and so on.
    Passed away on April 6, 2014.

    Mickey Rooney was born in Brooklyn, New York. He is only 1.57 meters tall. He has been on stage with his family since he was a child. In 1926, he first appeared on the screen when he was 6 years old, playing a small dwarf in the short film "Untrusted". From the following year to 1933, he starred in more than 50 episodes of two long comedy series "Mickey McGuire", and his reputation grew. In 1935, he played Puck in " A Midsummer Nights Dream " and was successful again. In 1937, he played Andy Hardy, the son of a small town judge in "Family Affairs". From this, he started 15 touching Andy Hardy comedies praising the pristine life of the family, which were deeply loved by the audience.
    Passed away on April 6, 2014, at the age of 93. 

    Personal Life

    Rooney has been married 8 times. In the 1950s and 1960s, he was often accused of not being able to maintain a marriage. Before his death, he lived with his eighth wife Jan Chamberlin. He has 9 children, as well as 19 grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. 
    In 1942, he married Hollywood actress Ava Gardner , and divorced a year later.
    In 1944, when the army was stationed in Alabama , they met and married the local beauty queen Betty Jane Rase. At the end of World War II, Rooney returned from Europe, and this marriage ended in divorce. He then experienced two short marriages, Martha Vickers (1949) and Elaine Mahnken (1952), both of which ended in divorce.
    In 1958, Rooney married Barbara Ann Thomason, but then a tragedy occurred and Barbara was murdered in 1966. Rooney was very sad and got major depressive disorder. He married Barbara's friend Marge Lane. Marge can help him take care of his young children. This marriage only lasted 100 days.
    From 1969 to 1974, he married Carolyn Hockett, but the financial turmoil ended the relationship.
    Finally, in 1978, Rooney married his eighth wife, Jan Chamberlin, and as of 2012, they lived in Westlake Village, California.
