It still looks classic!
Time has passed, and if you watch this film again, you will find that this film has an epic temperament. When the four of them meet, they seem to hear the sound of the rolling wheels of history! The real world is not good or bad, there is only choice. The pursuit of freedom and perseverance!

just looking around
I didn't think of militarism at all when I watched it. I still have no concept of politics. After reading a lot of film reviews, I realized that the movie talks about a lot of political systems. I just watched it as a science fiction movie! So when I looked at it, I randomly pieced together some...

The first one is still very classic, and it was made like this in 1997. The most memorable part is that the officer took out his gun. You thought he was going to kill insects, but in fact he wanted to give the soldiers who were taken away a happy life. Later when he was eaten off his legs, he also asked his subordinates to give him a shot. Reminiscent of Lieutenant Dan in "Forrest Gump", he would rather die in battle and be a martyr instead of struggling to survive. The section where the Zerg set a trap that caused the human army to almost annihilate was also photographed naturally, not reversed for the purpose of reversal. Although there were reversals in Part 2 and Part 3, they were all forced reversals, and there was no sense of bright light anymore. The shots of battleships traveling through space are also shocking, and it is hard to imagine that they were taken in the 90s. In particular, the scene of the Zerg launching venom to attack the fleet has surpassed the monster movie and entered the category of science fiction movies, making people feel the vastness of the universe and the insignificance of human beings. The fly in the ointment is that the positioning is just a popcorn movie. If the script is better, the discussion on human nature, science fiction, and alien races would be better. This is where the gap between this film and "Alien" lies.

Johnny Rico: Come on you apes, you wanna live forever?

Johnny Rico: Someone asked me once if I knew the difference between a civilian and a citizen. I know now. A citizen has the courage to make the safety of the human race their personal responsibility. Dizzy was my friend. She was a soldier. But most important, she was a citizen of the Federation.
