Four middle-aged male teachers, who are also close friends of their classmates, decided to conduct a personal evaluation of the idea that "blood alcohol concentration of 0.05% is good for physical and mental health" after encountering bottlenecks in life. As the alcohol concentration rises, what awaits them is not the clear and dark mood, but the stagnation of life that has been avoided for decades. Thomas Winterberg's image mastery gives this story of midlife crisis a personified sense of frail power. The obedience and subtle sensitivity that Max Mikkelsen gave Martin made the whole film a qualitative change. The traces of unruliness squeezed out of a low-pressure life may not be a real happiness.
