  • Matthew Rhys (Matthew Rhys), formerly known as Matthew Rhys Evans. Born on November 8, 1974 in'ywysogaeth Cymru, Cardiff, England. British actor and director.
    He is known for appearing in the movies "Washington Post", " Burnt ", American TV series " Brothers & Sisters " and " The Americans ".
    Nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series in the 2014 "TV Critics' Choice Awards". [1] 
    In 2016, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 68th Emmy Awards. On September 18, 2018, Beijing time, Matthew Rhys won the 70th Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series with "The Americans". [2]  In January 2019, he won the best actor in a drama series in the 24th Critics' Choice Awards with "The Americans" . [3] 

    Performing Experience

    In January 1998, Rhys went to New Zealand to perform in a colonial costume drama "Green Stone", and then it performed with Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Lange in Julie Taymor's highly acclaimed adaptation of "Titus". Then he played Ray in Peter Hewitt's drama film comedy "Whatever Happened to Harold Smith?". After returning to'ywysogaeth Cymru , he completed two consecutive films, "The Testimony of Taliesin Jones" with Jonathan Price, This is a movie about a bad single-parent family in which he plays the eldest son. And the outstanding comedy "Very Annie Mary" written by Sara Sugarman, in which he played Nob and played against Rachel Griffiths.
    In 2000, Rhy played the leading role in "Metropolis", a TV series produced by Granada Television about 6 young people in their 20s living in London. He then performed in "Peaches", a film about a critically acclaimed drama, with Nick Grosso acting as its director and screenwriter at the same time. In 2000, when Rhys played Benjamin in the world premiere of a stage play adapted from "The Graduate", he and Kathleen Turner were highly sought after at the Gielgud Theatre in London's west end.
    Rhys traveled to Ireland to perform in "The Abduction Club" about the magical adventure drama of the 17th century.     Although widely regarded as one of the most exciting young actors in the UK, Rhys insists that he can happily give up all of these and go to play an international rugby game for his country.
    In addition, Matthew Rhys successfully played the gay lawyer Kevin Walker in the popular American drama " Brothers & Sisters ". Kevin and Scotty get married at the end of season 2.

    Personal Life

    Matthew Rhys and Ioan Gruffudd (Ioan Gruffudd), who is also an actor of'ywysogaeth Cymru , were roommates for nearly ten years. They served as best man when Ain got married. At the same time, both of them are patrons of Trust PA, a British charity organization.
    In 2013, Matthew Rhys dated his partner Keri Russell (Keri Russell) for filming the American drama "The Americans".   In May 2016, Matthew Rhys and Kelly Russell's son Sam were born.
