Early Experience
Mitchell was born on April 17, 1985 and grew up in Gold Coast . His parents divorced and later remarried. Mitchell has three brothers and one younger sister, Bree. When his younger brother Ben (Benjamin Mitchell) was in the top 10 Australian tennis players, his older brother was a tennis coach. Mitchell played tennis from 5 to 19 years old. He planned to participate in professional competitions but gave up tennis after realizing that this was not the most important thing in his life. Later Mitchell entered Naiyun State High School.
Performing Experience
Mitchell was trained in an international film and television studio, and worked with Joss McWilliam, Iain Gardner, Kim Krejus, Dean Carey, etc., and traveled around Australia with Sudden Impact Entertainment, an international entertainment company, and performed in its theater.
Although working in Melbourne, he successfully guest-starred Chris Knight in the Australian drama Neighbours, appearing in 11 episodes. Then moved back to Gold Coast and starred in the third season of the Australian drama " Mermaid (H2O: Just Add Water)" as Will Benjamin.

In 2014, Mitchell starred in " Agents of SHIELD Season 2 " in the alien race Lincoln, and in 2015 " Agents of the SHIELD Season 3 " became the main role.

In 2009, Mitchell dated actor Rebecca Breeds in "Home and Away" and announced their engagement in May 2012 and married in January 2013.
