The plot is quite bloody, I don't understand how the US Department of Defense would use an aircraft carrier to give orders to such a third-rate director...

A few days before the Pearl Harbor incident of World War II, the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier encountered a small number of Japanese fighter jets and the Senate, and decided to attack the Japanese fleet, but it traveled back, and there was almost no military and information contact. The advantage is the display and soundtrack of the aircraft carrier and fighter planes, and three types of aircraft. The disadvantage is that the characters are very useless in the story. The rescued Japanese and the Senate have both held naval personnel hostage and caused casualties. The protagonist is also really like an observer, not a participant.

    The Final Countdown quotes

    • [one of the F-14's barely dodges a burst of gunfire from one of the Zeroes]

Pilot: Why the hell are we playing with these guys?

    • [Trying to warn Pearl Harbor of the impending Japanese attack]

Senator Chapman: This is, uh, Senator Samuel S. Chapman, of the United States Senate on board the aircraft carrier Nimitz. Captain Yelland is here with me.

Pearl Harbor Radio Operator: You're on a what?

Senator Chapman: I repeat. I am Senator Samuel S. Chapman onboard the U.S.S. Nimitz.

Pearl Harbor Radio Operator: Alright, whoever the hell you are. Use of military frequencies by unauthorized personnel is a felony.

Senator Chapman: Now listen here, sir!

Pearl Harbor Radio Operator: As we have no aircraft carrier Nimitz and no Captain Yelland I suggest, asshole, that you stop impersonating some other asshole and get off the air! You're wasting our time!

Senator Chapman: How dare you talk to me that way!
