In fact, I think it would be better if the two lines of the lovelorn man and the suicidal woman were cut off.
The 4 lines are intertwined all the time, and it feels like it can't focus on the point. If only the interaction between David and his father (ie Meanwhile City and London) is kept, it will be much more interesting, and the rhythm will be much faster.
