A true soldier always puts honor first
Carl was discriminated against since he was a child (because he was black), and his father taught him to be self-improvement. When he grows up, he must stand out and gain respect, so he has a strong sense of honor.

Perseverance, tenacity, never give up, this is the spirit of this film. Although it is an extremely Hollywood American Dream formulaic film, the interpretation is rare and wonderful. The acting of the two leading actors is superb!
