He started acting at the age of 10 and played the leading role in "Bread, Earl and Me" at the age of 12, and worked with big-name directors such as Steven Allan Spielberg . Later, he was nominated for an Oscar and is one of the few famous black movie stars in Hollywood.
    In 1994, he was nominated for Best Actor at the 66th Academy Awards for " What's Love Got To Do With It " .
    In 1999, Fishburne began starring in the " The Matrix " series of movies.
