      After seeing Shame, I wasn't impressed and decided to check out McQueen's previous acclaimed film. McQueen is indeed one of the few new directors who are skilled in film techniques and expressions, and who can use them proficiently and are often amazed. The silent protests, the long shots, and the close-ups in the film are a sight to behold. Clearly.
